Is 21:9 a meme ?

Is 21:9 a meme ?

No, 21:9 is a size ratio.

21:9 completely useless for gaming and video

for work its pretty comfy.

Just googling 21:9 came up with this for like

Is it good for coding though ?

>21:9 completely useless for gaming
how many gamers have you talked to, who have a 21:9 display?
Those I've spoken to LOVE it

since you can't put it vertically: no, it's awful.

What if they used spaces?

>2043
>37:9 is the latest rage

Are you retarted ? Of course you can put it in vertically

What are tiling window managers

>21:9 completely useless for gaming
It's literally the BEST aspect ratio for games.
t. 21:9 owner.

Depends on your usage, for multiwindowing its comfy af.

Personal experience and ive had mates say the same aswell, i still prefer 4:3 for gaming desu.

3440x1440 is the best resolution to game at tbqh since it's easier to drive then 4K and the 21:9 aspect ratio is good for added FOV. Just make sure to get one with 144hz refresh and maybe Freesync or G-Sync whatever card you got

21:9 on shooters that support it well (source games support it but they are limited by FOV restrictions because "cheating") is pretty fucking amazing. Movies too. All those movies you find in cinemascope and such? Those look delicious.

Also any application that benefits from having such space of course.

Except it works absolute shit with so many games because increased FOV would give unfair advantages.

it depends. When playing games like battlefield is truly amazing but I've bought games without support and without a way to fix it and just never played them because of it

21:9 allows you to watch theater ratio movies without black bars (1.8-2.4:1, while 21:9 is 2.3:1)

21:9 allows immersive gameplay experience because the edges blend into your peripheral vision, giving the perception of endlessness

But muh FOV

When will this stupid wide screen meme die?

Could a post be any more wrong?

No. It's just a gimped down version of 4k.

When americans start making things instead of chinks

Yes, it's only good for Video/Audio Editing and that's about it.
