RX 480 = BIG disappointment

>Noisy
>Card runs into temperature and power limit, resulting in reduced clocks
>Limited GPU overclocking potential
>Power draw exceeds PCI-Express specification
>Fans don't stop in idle
>High temperatures
>Multi-monitor and Blu-ray power draw still terrible
>DVI output removed

4/10, the 390/970 are better...

>THEY FELL FOR THE POOLARIS MEME

>Shills shilling shills

Read all the reviews Roy, now I understand why the NDA was so long

>Blower fan
>6 pin + Blower fan, might be a software bug
>POO
>Blower fan
>the cost of double precision floating point performance AKA pandering to the bitcoin market

>maxed 78°C
>plays all games at 1080p and 1440p
>fans dont start till 50°C
>extremely quiet
>$65 less than gtx960
>ultimately lowering prices of new gpus
what is ur problem bro?

People that have recently purchased a 970 are realizing they made a terrible purchase and are lashing out.

>>Noisy
It's a blower cooler reference card, all of them are like that, from both companies
>>Card runs into temperature and power limit, resulting in reduced clocks
Will be fixed with third party cards
>>Limited GPU overclocking potential
Same as above
>>Fans don't stop in idle
You can already fix that by going into their software and setting a custom fan curve or by using Afterburner
>>High temperatures
Reference card
>>Multi-monitor and Blu-ray power draw still terrible
Literally no big deal and also >bluray
>>DVI output removed
Will be added in the aftermarket cards, confirmed
>4/10, the 390/970 are better...
1/10 bait OP is an absolute retard

tl;dr: all these issues will be fixed from the aftermarket cards (also to mention that the 480 will run cool af with custom coolers and not a blower)

People will never learn, dont buy or fell in the AMD marketing...what a disappointment.

wow i guess the memes are true

>implying its a good card

it's funny how all your points blatant shilling, who the hell buys reference cards anyway? oh wait, nvidiots!

POO

lol

>1.
GCN has had physically, not in firmware, neutered FP64 capabilities since Tonga
>2.
Bitcoin doesn't use DP compute

>noisy

that's not true. nearly all reviewers said that it's one of the more quieter reference cards they've worked with

are the nvidia sponsored hit piece articles already coming out?

of course.

>Multi-monitor and Blu-ray power draw still terrible
Is there still no tool like Nvidia Inspector for AMD?

Are Nvidia fanboys just lashing out here when saying it's a more expensive 970?
All the 970 prices I see are $310-$345...

970 is ~260$ currently. This is after a price cut and prices will only go up as stock goes down since they arent made anymore.
