Why doesn't someone just port DX12 to Windows 7/8?

Why doesn't someone just port DX12 to Windows 7/8?

>why doesn't someone spend thousands of hours reverse engineering directx 12 and create patches for the kernel so that a few hundred people who wants to use windows but not windows 10 because of muh botnet will be happy
I don't know, OP. Good question.

Yeah, that's really easy. Not like it's all closed source. Maybe you should try it OP.

i'll do it. you got a download of the source code?

Why when Windows 10 is better? That's like putting a backup camera on a car from the 80s

Can't wait for Vulkan am I right

Why don't we just go to the sun at night?

that isnt very uncommon for old compact cars. i did it to my grandparents' cars and my mom's car

But imagine if a 2015 model car was free with trade in of your old car.

why wait?

Wine will have their own DX12 implementation eventually and it'll might even work on older windows

>a few hundred people
other than that, you're right.

i haven't ever driven a car, but i have used windows 10 and i can say that your comparison is bullshit

Dindus 7 is already just as botnetted as 10, unless you disabled your internet connection months ago.

And the twist was that the car has a tracking device that records its position 24/7, and also a camera and microphone that record everything that happens both inside and outside of the car.

>dx12
>still relevant
>not deprecated
>shiggy diggy

Which you can completely disable if you spend 10 minutes researching.

"disable"

Ok. Like 7 people.

99% of 2015+ model cars are fucking ugly and bulbous garbage.. old cars are well balanced, timelessly stylish, and a perfect balance of utilitarian and comfy. nice one

I bet people in the 80s were saying the same thing about 50s cars

And people in the 50s were saying that about 20s cars

And people in the 2040s will be saying that about 2010s cars

no not quite. there is real downsides to comfort and looks. most for safety reasons, but some just because it is cheaper and still "acceptable" see: new toyota interior quality compared to old toyota interior quality

there are* real downgrades*
sorry driving in my 89 corolla :^)

And it's true every time.

>comparing 80s and 50s cars is the same as comparing 2015+ cars to 80s/90s cars

p l e a s e

It's true though. My 2007 corolla doesn't feel fragile inside unlike my cousin's 2015 corolla.

>comparing S hitty U nderperforming V ehicles to sexy sedans and coupes

You're not helping your argument here.

>comparing the worst cars of today to the best cars of the 80s/90s

p l e a s e d o n ' t

Windows 7 and Windows 10 have the same kernel. DX12's limitation is probably just in the installer.

>why doesn't someone just backport something to the NT kernel?

kys

The fuck are you on?

Why not just block telemetry with a firewall

God you're fucking stupid

Patently false, unless you have been installing every update MS sends your way

Even if you did there would be no drivers for directx 12 on windows 7

Why not just copy paste the files over?

You do that and report back how it went.

is this a joke?

Windows7/8 support DirectX 11.3 which is pretty much the same, even DX12_1 features are included.

>not using the best windows

gamers are fucking scum

Between 7 and 8 people, surely.

>he's naive enough to believe windows 7 is safe from MS
>he's too young to know that windows versions as early as 95 were intentionally backdoored

It's a nice summer this year isn't it?

...

They did the same with DX10 for XP so people could play Halo 2

>all these pajeets

...

>all that Windows 10
Jesus Christ. How many of those are people that got raped by the automatic update?

Not even Linux bothers with porting DX.

more surprised about all that XP still around tbqh.
