They look pretty cool

Some can hold fish

Electrical current passing within a non-conductive medium will gradually ionise the non-conductive medium, eventually causing it to become conductive.

Have fun with your ticking "Oh my PC don't work now" bomb.

I dont want to deal with the upkeep of a mineral oil pc

What if I use mineral oil

It's cool, but terrifying. Seems nonsensical to me.

I built one of these a few years ago, they are a pointless waste of time and money.
I spend hours lurking Sup Forums and /diy/ just so I can warn people not to attempt to build one.

Do you plan cooking your lasagnas in it when it gets up to temp?

>meme
FUCKING KILL YOURSELF

Dat how i cook muh soup babes :'(... all dat dream ended

just add some tropical fish and always water= perpetual soup

Don't fight it!

>PC completely submerged in liquid coolant.
>This CPU needs a fan.
>mfw

The mineral oil over time can become conductive also you can't RMA components that were submerged in oil.

To push the liquid so it doesnt get hot. You should think of air as its a liquid too!

Then why doesn't air become conductive?

Checkmate atheists.

Yes unless you're using mineral oil.

They ran a system 24/7 for 7 years with no issues, the fans still worked even.

Mineral oil submerged systems are extremely stable and really only suffer from clouding after years of use. They're actually the best way to provide sub ambient cooling solutions because they require no special preparation of the components to protect them from condensation.

They can aid in providing additional flow, particularly at the heatsink where you would likely get a hot spot.

Thoughts: cool, would like to try, but ultimately completely impractical.

it does.I cant really explain this to you in good english but due to an electric arc the air ionizes and creates an tunnel in which it becomes more and more conductive. Not really relevant to computers and low voltage but it does do that.

>fish wandering around
>fish goes to fan
>WRWRWRWRWWRW
>rip fish
Nice idea, user!

No. Maintenance.

>he thinks these need fans

user pls

Amazed you point that out rather than the fact the fish would be dead and floating at the top of the tank.

>not using cloud PC

Well, but that particular one has fans

Lightning, stupid nigga.

Yeah but its mineral oil not water.

Because maintenance.

I like this meme. Too bad individual components aren't wrapped in ziplock bags full of mineral oil

The weight must be an absolute bitch. Fuck that.

board is disquietingly arched

>hey, user, why are those things hanging from the ceiling?
>That's where I do my cloud computing.
Totally worth it.

from the FAQs in your link:

>Dood! Put fishez in ur tank!!!1

>Answer:No. They would die.

>OK. No fish, but how about C:\HORSES ?

>Answer:LOL

LOL

I don't see any fish in these, what a waste

fuck, I actually laughed
