O_ver C_ucking
That motherboard was broken and it had been taking up space on my shelf for more than a year now. I was trying to repair an old (different) laptop today, had a "small" breakdown due to frustration and ended up removing BGA chips with a hammer.

The modem is still good though.
...
How do you figure the modem works in that machine when the motherboard is fried?
Because at those voltages and currents the board traces & chips between the on-board ethernet & that modem are going to act as multiple fuses.
man must be rated for IP66 at least

You do realise that this exact mentality has lead to people taking pictures of people fallen on subway tracks instead of rescuing them, right?
Gotta get them likes, bruh.
Hey I got that board.
Not so confident about the "ultra durable" branding now
>Not so confident about the "ultra durable" branding now
m8 that isn't normal stressing in that image. That level of damage required some serious torque and you're retarded if you think "ultra durable" means it's fucking invincible.
you can't bend a pin if there are no pins to bend
I actually remember when this happened. I was working in a data center in the Seattle area. They floor manager had the facilities team double check some of the floor loading in a space that was being built out, just to be safe.
Crazy shit, that much carnage and only a few bad hard drives.
Lost it.
