Vista is fine, but be sure to get an ISO with SP2. It will be a pain updating it for the first time.

>No TRIM.
>No GPT booting.
Just use Windows 7, block the shit updates and be done.

Why Vista? You can get w7 sp1 and just deactivate au completely when you first install it.

Not using Windows 8.1 with Classic Shell.

Downloading windows server 2008 as well.

>Going to vista at all
Is Windows 10 that bad? At least consider returning to 7 and turn off updates.

Got a used thinkpad, and i just want none of the spyware of win 10. Installing windows server 2008 enterprise,

just deleted win10 this morning and went back to 8.1. enough of that shit.

Installing :)

>no SNI support

this is kind of a deal breaker.

That sounds very expensive.

Even linux has more marketshare than vista now lol. And it's only got like a year of support left so enjoy your viruses.

No, people here are just autistic

£70 for x200 thinkpad, windows server download from kickass including Rufus and Daz Loader

Don't plan on using any games or bootleg software downloaded from the Pirate Bay on Windows 10. The End User License Agreement in the new operating system makes it clear that Windows 10 is capable of scanning user machines and prohibiting them from using any services that appear to have been obtained illegally. archive.is/KQsBh

Quick question: is vidya gaems the sole reason why Sup Forums depends on Windows? If every single game was suddenly ported to MEME/Linux would you still use Windows anyway?

You're a retard

I'm running pirated software and torrent movies and nothing has been deleted yet.

I think that is a myth.

Microsoft would never pull that shit, Not even they are that dumb.

Section 7b of Microsoft's Services EULA (under “Updates to the Services or Software, and Changes to These Terms”) warns users that Windows 10 “may automatically check your version of the software and download software updates or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorized hardware peripheral devices.”
By agreeing to these terms, Alphr.com reported, users are enabling Microsoft to sift through their files in search of the vaguely defined “unauthorized hardware peripheral devices,” which could mean anything from modified Xbox controllers to unauthorized versions of Microsoft Office.

>Microsoft has the ability and reserves the right to disable first-party (aka Microsoft) titles should they be found to be pirated.

Looks like they will only block software you stole from them, So you basically can't pirate Fable or any other Microsoft game.

Debunked a long time ago.

>WAAAHHHHH I HATE REDDIT!!!!
Get some new FUD, freetard.

You can pirate anything. I'm running a pirated version of Office 2016 on a pirated version of Windows 10 Enterprise. They both work fine and have been working fine for six months now.

How do you get OS updates if your not activated?

It basically refers to the fact that Windows 10 will block certain executables and files it doesn't like the look of. One example is KMS, it will run but you have to remove any instance of the words "keygen" "crack" "activator" from the folder it's sat in, otherwise you get a generic "Your computer cannot run this program" error.

It's worrying though to say the least, this opens the door to block anything that MS doesn't want you to run. That said I have a ton of pirated programs running fine and even upgraded to 10 from a pirated version of 7 and everything is fine.

Yes because of outlook

not that guy but i also have Office 2016 pirated and on pirated Win10 and both get updates fine. Windows update is separate from the activation servers so it doesn't check if your install is legit, it just checks that it's been activated (which a pirate OS will be, since it activates from an unofficial license server)

I am activated, via KMS. Updates just fine.
