Vaio VGN-UX180P

An old optiplex gx240. Pentium 4 and 1GB RAM. Got it running puppy linux, pretty nippy for the specs. Runs extremely hot though, 75 degrees most of the time but I don't give a shit because it's gonna be smashed soon.

VW 540 reporting

IBM T60 with a couple upgrades

I think the battery is no good I've cycled it several times and it still dies at 30 percent.

It's in great shape though and has an SSD so it's moderately fast

misc old thinkpads

R30 being the oldest and the X41 being the newest.

Mah nigga!

I remember you from another thread back, that's fucking cool shit dude. I got a set of P3 1ghz Slot 1's matching stepping if you think you can make them work you can have them.

You inspired me to fix up my old AMD K6 rig and I got it working again, now it houses a 3dfx Voodoo 5500 PCI for Macintosh that I flashed over to a PC BIOS and got the digital output working too. Specs

ASUS P5A-B
AMD K6-2 550mhz
640mb PC133
3dfx Voodoo 5500 PCI Mac flashed to PC
Adaptec 2940UC, 5x 36gb 10k RPM Seagate SCSI disks in RAID 5
DVD-RW
Runs XP breddy gud as long as it's loaded with RAM but I want to do a Win98/ME install on it if I can find the 2940 98SE drivers

I'll make a thread later today for it. Good to see you still around

And here's my slightly older (actually probably newer) 600E I pretty regularly funpost from, a little better for it since I turned JavaScript off.

What's that one under the X series on top? Looks like an A series but I've never seen that kind of side profile before, especially that weird mismatched PCMCIA ejector.

That's pretty killer, definitely not going to have any trouble handling pretty much anything that runs on 9x for sure. And I totally forgot they made V5500s for Macs, now I want to pick one up for my G4.

Also, I appreciate the offer, but unfortunately that box runs slot 2 Xeons so I can't use regular PIIIs, thinking of either sticking a pair of 700s in (900s are apparently really hit-or-miss) or going Quad 500, I can use this thing for way more than web surfing anyway.

Why would you buy a smartphone that can't call?

Because it's not a smartphone.

G40
the thiccpad

Oh yeah, I never remember them looking like that on the other side. Those had so much potential, if only they'd bothered to make them into true desktop replacements.

Why would you buy a smartphone when you don't want to make calls?

iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1, iPhone 3G running iOS 3.1.3, Motorola Atrix 4G running unofficial CM11, shell of an iPod 2G that was running Whited00r 7. Long story short I gave the screen to a friend who broke his and then used the 30-pin port and NOR chip as replacement parts for the iPhone 3G which is special to me for personal reasons.

at the time, god no, they couldnt have been

but if they had waited about 3 years for ram to get cheaper, and dedicated GPU's. they could have been replacements at least for dock setups

pretty powerful machine with maxed out ram, puts the T42 to shame with its ability to play some older games, and it handles AutoCAD 2005LT extremely well, 2009LT is good with everything but 3D

It just felt like they could at least fit it with the same FireGL chips they stuck in the T series for the high-end configurations, Extreme graphics were always very underwhelming. Though that desktop Pentium 4 was hotter than shit.

I still liked mine when I used it, still pull it out sometimes for floppy disk writing.

actually the 2.8ghz one in there stays pretty cool after i repasted it
idles at 38c, maxed at 58c

and with 2gb of ram the integrated graphics can do up to 128mb and thats perfect for what i intend to use it for
