ITT Budget SSD

Help me obi/g/kenobi you're my only hope!

I'm looking into getting an SSD, budgeting under 300 for a medium budget build. Total machine is at around $1100 us currently, but is around 8 months old. Ready to start upgrading bits. What are your thoughts Sup Forumsuys?
Mostly using for gaming as I have a separate machine for work. Would like something fast, I can supplement size with a HD if needed. Discuss!

All faggotry of your post aside, you can buy a Samsung 950 pro 512mb SSD for 180 total on jet dot com.

X400 is the best non-Samsung TLC drive you can get, the 1TB goes for around 230 USD.

SSDs are a premium for gaming and only help with loading times, reducing open world hitching and lack of spin up latency related issues (only matters if you're a competitive gamer).

I thought I was pandering. Didn't realize we had the official technology sexuality police here.

Kingston UV400 480GB is awesome. Something is broken in my computer, might be a lemon SSD or it might be the 1TB Toshiba drive I got with it. I'm testing throughout the long weekend but so far with the SSD only, I cannot recreate the crash. However, sometimes at boot I see that SMART is bad on the SSD, and when I ran Hitachi drive fitness and Seagate seatools, it failed on both long tests but passed on short, whereas the Toshiba passed on all tests.... when switching the SSD out with the old 5400rpm 120GB laptop drive, the problem still occurred... so I don't know.

I just bought the 120gb version of the uv 400 it's a nice ssd for the price. My laptop is way faster now.

Consider painful suicide methods when you finally realise you wasted your life

you're an ultra faggot

an ssd decreases BF4 loading times from 3 minutes to half a minute

FUCKING KYS IDIOT, I'm sick of anti progress memesters trying to be cool

I got a hyper x fury SSD for real cheap. Loads everything in real world instantly. No complaints here, dunno why people go ape shit for an SSD twice the price just to reboot 2 seconds faster.

Might take a while for me to *realize that.
Ftfy you third world cuck. 'Murica!

>they don't know

Samsung 750 Evo

OCZ trion 150 480 GB, $100 on Amazon last I check. Uses Toshiba NAND, not the old OCZ crap

the 850 evo is just a couple of bucks more expensive.

The Sandisk Ultra II 960GB goes on sale for as cheap as $199.

I'll be grabbing that next time for my laptop.

Where can I get a 200+ mSATA SSD for less than $70, Sup Forums? I want to be frugal as a mother fucker for my laptop rebuild

also, why don't they make regular HDD mSATA's?

>HDD mSATA
what

muh nigga

>what

you know, a 1'8" HDD that can fit in a laptop. Not a mSATA per-say, but you get the point.
