Eli the computer guy's youtube channel had some nice introductory info but I don't remember him showing how specific attacks work. It may help you at least decide which questions to ask next.

All these languages, including ASM and how low level languages work are essential if you want to be well rounded.

social engineering as well.

ASM isn't really that important to learn nowadays, but it certainly wouldn't hurt.

If you're serious about gaining leet skills, check out opensecuritytraining.info.
It's very technical and in-depth, but hacking isn't for scrubs with bad wetware.

If you don't know about one of these things, start googling for videos and books.
FTP, SSH, Telnet, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, HTTP, POP3, NTP, NetBios, IMAP, SNMP, BGP, LDAP, SSL/TLS-HTTPS, SSL/TLS-LDAPS, SSL/TLS-FTP

Maltego, Wireshark, Nslookup, Nmap, Nessus, Netcat, Hping, Ettercap, Session Brute Forcer, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, C, C++, Visual Basic, Java, Python, tcl, Snort, Metasploit

Learn the OSI Model / TCP/ UDP (Delivering Data)
Learn about the structure of an IPV4 and IPV6 address (organizations usually purchase blokcs of IP Addresses)
Learn common ports like the ones listed on www.iana.org
Learn about Passive information gathering like Google Hacking Database
hackersforcharity.org/ghdb/
That is a start but will take quite a while to learn. Once you get your fill come back...

Can someone please ddos\remote shutdown this IP address

realize you will never understand any of it without hard work and practice

try an online CTF microcorruption.com/

I mean that one of the principle prerequisites for being a good hacker is fairly high intelligence, and you will have to learn and umderstand some very complicated stuff.

Your wetware is your brain, its entry level cyberpunk jargon

Do all that. Realize security is pretty strong in most Applications and you have no chance beating the silicon valley nerds.
Start "real" hacking by creating [email protected] mail, helping people by telling them how secure their passwords are.

It helps if you are Empethetic too

just pinged it 10 times, should be down now :)

We are not nerds, we're geeks
