Laptop under 13" inch

I dare you to find a better option if you're looking for a
long battery life
good quality display
somewhat powerful CPU to allow basic video editing

I hope you don't intend to render anything on that thing.

fine, I'll find one myself, so far I stumbled upon this one:

So I have a dillemma now between razor and apple:
apple.com/macbook/specs/

Both have great displays (QHD 4k vs Retina IPS)

And both have relatively the same CPU...
though, does the razor's CPU is really that powerful? Seems like it's only better by a miniscule amount (having a tad better video graphics, and some clock settings).

See for yourself:

apple's CPU:
ark.intel.com/products/88199/Intel-Core-m7-6Y75-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz

Razor's:
ark.intel.com/products/88194/Intel-Core-i7-6500U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz

And yes, I do need help, otherwise wouldn't have asked for the community's advice.

well, other 11/12" inch laptops don't offer anything better, see the above post.

Where did I say anything about a 13" MacBook? Regardless neither laptop is a good suggestion, OP's looking for a sub 13" laptop and you've brought up two 13" laptops.

Both are meme-tier garbage.

Sup Forums is not your personal tech support.

'Course they do. The Macbook Air and XPS 13 are both faster. Hell, my X220 is 5 years old and is still faster than the Macbook.

>OP's looking for a sub 13"
Then why did OP post a 13" laptop?

Razer... Not even once.

>Then why did OP post a 13" laptop?
He didn't.

are you literally stupid? xps 13 has a footprint of an ~11" laptop

well, you haven't offered anything at all
so stfu

>are you literally stupid?
no
xps 13 has a footprint of an ~11" laptop
Neat. It's still not a sub 13" laptop

Ah, you're right. It's 12".

But the XPS 13 is smaller because of the thin bezels, so the fact that it's 13" is in no way a disadvantage.

>caring about the screen size instead of the overall size of the laptop

OP's asking about a laptop with a screen that is under 12". The XPS 13's screen is 13". You literally cannot argue this.

Quit being retarded. It's smaller than the Macbook. The smaller footprint makes it more portable. The larger screen makes it more pleasant to use. It's the best of both worlds.

I care about finding the better machine, not about satisfying your arbitrary criteria.

literally just go to the website and check the specs

No one is trying to argue this. We are saying that wanting a

Reddit is the place for you, newfriend. Try /r/pcmasterrace and don't come back, please.

12" screen is the perfect size though.

wait hold on, I'm OP

and I care about the overall size.
Most 13" inch laptops (well, actually >99% of them) will end up being bigger than a 11" inch laptop

so DELL's:

Height: 0.33 – 0.6" (9-15mm)
Width: 11.98"

APPLE'S MACBOOK:
Height: 0.14–0.52 inch
Width: 11.04 inches

Macbook is smaller both by screen, and overall size.

And, because of the thin bezels, it is as portable as most 11" laptops.

Your thinking is remarkably inflexible. I think you might be autistic, and I don't mean that in a meme-like way.

samsung.com/us/computer/pcs/NP900X3L-K06US

I thought it's only for stationary pcs? might try there if here doesn't work out, though I'm basically saying:

"dissuade me from buying a 12 inch macbook"

when I'm looking for
at least 8 hr battery life
great quality display
somewhat powerful CPU

I don't like it.

Despite the fancy expensive design (and price) it's basically a disposable product. Everything is soldered on the board. If something breaks your data goes with it. Not user repairable.

Also they sacrificed way too much for just a bit of thin and lightness. That keyboard has almost 0 travel and is awful to type on. Like typing on a keyboard that's projected on your table. I rather buy the Macbook Air despite the low res TN display.

Literally almost the same size, MUCH more powerful

>power in a laptop
kek

Disgusting bloated bezels. It's basically a 14inch.

Toshiba Kirabook is the master race

>soldered
as opposed to...?

Apple still has better retina display, and longer battery life

but I'll definitely get "the real feel" of it in the nearest bestbuy.

thanks bud.
though, that dell xps 13 was advertised in almost all "top ultrabook review in 2016"

socketed?

XPS 13, you dumbfuck mactard.

but muh unix

So I'm down to Apple Macbook vs XPS 13

I'm still inclined towards Macbook though (I used to own Mac Air).

But I'll check out the dell XPS 13, and see how it feels. Though size and battery life are the most important options for me.

Anyone owns the latest dell xps 13 here?

Does it have the white noise when headphones plugged in? I know for a fact Apple's doesn't have.

XPS 13 is well known for having much better sound quality than any mac from both the speakers and the headphone port.

I hope you buy the Macbook. It serves you right for being such a fucking faggot. Sup Forums is not your personal tech support.

And all you faggots ITT are no better than OP. Encouraging shitposting is no better than shitposting yourself.

POO IN LOO

Also, another important (!) option, not just for me, but objectively for most people - the glare

Picrelated.

Macbook wins on this one, unlike Dell's XPS 13 dispaly, it has less glare (so you won't end up seeing your face while masturbating to porn)

The XPS is brighter so it overpowers the glare. There's not much difference between the two anyway. And if you go for the base 1080p model, it has a matte display, which means no glare at all.
There is literally no reason to get a Mac over the XPS 13 masterrace.

ok neckbeard. grab a mountain dew and take a seat

XPS screen, touchpad and battery life are worse than the MacBook

Is the XPS even fanless? It probably roads constantly

Roads > roars

Also, if you're really interested in the XPS 13, just hang on a bit and I'll post a unique coupon code for you, save another 15% off the already low price.

This guy is literally a Dell marketer.

Those are all true. But it's much more powerful than the Macbook, so it's a fair trade-off if you need to do something more than web browsing.

Fuck off, iPajeet.

t. Pajeet

...

I'm reading this comparison of those laptops,

and macbook does seem to have a better display

XPS 13 matte is even worse than XPS 13 glossy

so if I go with matte, I end up with
less battery life
slightly bigger size
noticeably lower quality display

---
and some minor ones, like weight, OS, but those are not so important

I really don't get the hate towards macbook in this match up, it clearly is better than dell XPS 13 (it offers relatively the same CPU power capability)

How else do you generate a unique code if you're not with the company? Don't forget it's a code to get money off the "already low price". Jesus Christ.

Yeah, let's just ignore all the iShills here posting bullshit about the XPS 13 to mislead people into thinking the piece of shit MacBook is any better.

>(it offers relatively the same CPU power capability

that's unfair comparison, because it chooses the best upgradeable options for dell xps 13

while having average customization for the macbook

in reality, you can get macbook with an i7:
ark.intel.com/products/88199/Intel-Core-m7-6Y75-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz

also, the battery life and weight - I don't know where they've pulled that off from, but Apple's weighs much less, and has much longer battery life.

>The MacBook lasts a long time on charge, given its slim profile. On the Laptop Mag Battery Test, which involves continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 100 nits of brightness, the MacBook lasted 9 hours and 38 minutes.

>The touch screen version of the XPS 13 lasted more than an hour less at 8:08.

t. Dell marketer working on commission from his 15% off codes

>gloss is bad
>base model has non-gloss
>premium has gloss
>dell logic

I meant the screen. its adjusted for DPI, why is retina display considered better?

Whatever you say, iPajeet

Because higher resolution = better looking everything

instead of posting le funny maymay photos, can you back it up with arguments, kiddo-h?

Here's Macbook's i7:
ark.intel.com/products/88199/Intel-Core-m7-6Y75-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz

ark.intel.com/products/91163/Intel-Core-i7-6560U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_20-GHz

as you can see even from the title, the difference is miniscule, other than higher CPU frequency, and a very slightly better graphics.

X220 with i7 and IPS if you don't mind the shit resolution and xbox euge battery. The fact that they can be had for a pittance is also a plus.

>Macbook's i7

The Top end XPS 13 has Iris Graphics while the Macbook has the anemic Core M graphics, the XPS 13 is literally 3x faster in graphical tasks.
Good luck sustaining 3.1GHz for both cores on a fanless Macbook.

o waddup I would love that - does it work for the dev version?

Dell latitude 12 7270, check em. 12inch banger excellent battery life. Nice black business look, no childish pinks or silver.

Sure, I will need an email address from you and you need to checkout with that email (authenticity purposes). You will definitely love the Dev version, recommended for all Sup Forums users and professionals.

thanks man, you're MVP

ITT: Apple shills false flagging as Dell shills

I won't buy it right away, but like 2 weeks later, is that fine?

e-mail again: [email protected]

The razor uses a proper i7-U, a hundred times more powerful than the m5 in the MacBook.

This so much, those iPajeets really are something. We should just ban all of India, no more Apple threads.

...

lmk if he actually sends a code

>in reality, you can get macbook with an i7:
No, that's an m7. It's dog shit.

It's not really dogshit, the laptop it's been put inside is.
With adequete cooling, it performs just as well as a laptop dual i7.

VAIO Pros
VAIO Duo 11
These can be fitted with external batteries

Fags checkmated

>mac

so far - he hasn't

Let's note

Yet another reason to purchase the new Apple MacBook with Retina Display.

...

I really wonder whether there are actually people out there that believe every meme they see.

You could actually recommend a x260 and still be at the same price.

Yeah, you're probably right. Bit of a blow to build quality, but the more modern CPU and especially the GPU might well be worth it.

I don't get this

Is the image supposed to be a bad thing?

Allow me to translate:

Unless you water cool a macbook, it throttles to half performance.

>it throttles to half performance.

[citation needed]

>mactard too stupid to do basic multiplication

Every computer ever can run better when it's cooled better.

Consider a career in the arts.

I'd choose literally anything else that doesn't have a keyboard with 1mm of travel.
I could not type on that for more than a few minutes.

And most DON'T need water cooling just to prevent throttling and 50% loss of power.

>A throttled CPU is ALWAYS bad, doesn't matter whether the whole purpose of the machine is to be fanless and as light and portable as possible.

Neither does the MacBook.
