What apps do you recommend for a newfag regarding phones

What do you guys think how much the new nexus line will cost? I was thinking about getting one of them but if they are too expensive then its a no no for me. Might get a phone tomorrow on the primeday from warehouse deals.

>replied as last one died
Well good I can start fresh

Been out of the smartphone game for 2 years now.
Loved my note 2, but didn't lose any sleep over it.

Are Samsung galaxy note 4s still worth getting?
They don't cost a fortune, and do what I liked in my old phone but better.
I'm sure there's better choices though, there's so many fucking phones now.

I can get a Galaxy S6 for 20 euro per month 2 year contract with 2GB internet.

Is the S6 still a good phone?
also is it worth to get 4G for 2 euro extra per month
normal internet speed is 10 mbps with 4g it would be 75mbps

I was thinking of buying a refurbished LG G4, but that thread about the bootloop problem has really put me off, are there any phones that are about the same size, have a decent camera and don't have some horrible problem?

Looking to spend about £200-250 and I would prefer if it had a microsd slot and good battery life/replaceable battery but I'm starting to be not that bothered about those.

Is there any good chink phone that is compatible with T-Mobile? Redmi Note 3 Pro looked to be a no brainer but I've heard from some of you guys that outside select cities coverage could be shit. I'm looking for something in that price range. I could go up to $300-350 if it's worth it.

Should I get a Lenovo K3 Note or the more expensive Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro?
Custom Rom support is important, because I don't want to use shady Chinese software. I've heard that the Xiamo is not that easy to unlock/flash?

xiaomi doesn't really like to release the kernel sources which makes cm support more difficult. For the newer xiaomi line you have to apply for a bootloader unlock. No idea about the lenovo k3 note stuff though.

Any ideas for a phone under 120usd compatible with t-mobile usa bands? I'd very much like root, and a nice camera to replace my aging Olympus camera altogether. From some comparisons to friends phones that means the camera would need to be somewhere on par with a samsung galaxy s5 / s6 camera.

If it's not doable to have a decent camera, then I guess the best bang for the buck el cheapo phone (with root) that works with t-mobile is fine. (Meizu maybe? I dunno.)

Need purchasing advice my mans

>Carrier

T-mobil

>Features

Micro SD expandable, then just able to run the basic apps in a snappy manner

s7 active would be cool if it actually were waterproof. And available in the european caliphate..

Pic sauce?

>you will never run Android on an iPhone 5S

>you will never run android on a nokia lumia 950

honestly they are dirt cheap right now and have goot specs. Shame that installing android on them isn't possible.

Is the Galaxy S6 still good?

Is the lg g5 worth it for 450?

I'm gonna be honest
I just want a phone that does micro so
Is cheap but not chink cheap
And can play Pokemon Go

My brothers son is old enough to be sentient, and I just wanna prepare a cool day for him since he got into Pokemon once he knew words and could figure out a phone.

400 is my max, I'm overwhelmed with choice and too indecisive to be sure of what the fuck I'm looking for.

If that one user who was desperate for a good trusty laptop repair shop is the CBD, nows the time to pay me back.

>Is there any good chink phone that is compatible with T-Mobile?
Zuk Z2 or Le Max X820.

>>Size
>4,7 "
No such phones anymore really. Redmi 3 Pro is 5".

BV6000 is 4.7" and rugged.

Cheapest Pokemon Go phone?

I want it to play well so 2gb ram

I know and it really bothers me. I found the Galaxy A3, but I think that is a bad decision since I want to use it for more than just 3 months.

Redmi note 3 pro.
Best battery life, pokefags wish they had this.
GPU is solid.
Feels nice to hold.
Cheap.
Camera isn't great.
Well worf it mate, well worf it.

This seems perfect, thanks

Nexus 6p or OnePlus 3 meme?

see Pokefags always complain about battery life so check there.
it also comes with 2 or 3GB of ram and it's powerful enough to run it with ease.
You can buy one for less than $200 USD.

How noticeable is the speed difference between redmi note 3 pro and redmi note 3? I'm buying it for my sister and the smaller size would be a big plus..

The difference is just that one has a snapdragon GPU and one does not.
According to /csg/ the one without it is poop, get the pro.

im a but skeptical of meme phones
how good is it really?
why dont more people have it?

What are currently the best non-chink 5" phones under 200e?

eurofag here

The Pepsi P1S is cheapest full HD 5.5 inch phone

gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_399894.html

Argh sorry, I mean redmi 3 pro vs redmi note 3 pro.

go for chink, theres absolutely nothing not even close to what you get from xiaomi in that price range

It's damn good, even has a fingerprint sensor.
If you want shit like wireless charging or a great camera a flagship is what you want but for the price of a note 3 pro the best I could get locally is a 3rd gen moto g.

The reason more people don't fall for the meme like me is because they either want a particular flagship, they don't know about it, or they're scared of buying from over seas.

how shit are li-ion compared to li-polymer?

i'm looking at you, mi4c with 3080mhz li-ion battery that is otherwise oh-so perfect for me

i wanna play pokemans already :(

I got redmi 3 pro prime

main difference is the size which you probably know
screen is 1080p vs 720p as well
then both have same battery, same specs or very similar specs
note 3 has back-lighted main 3 buttons
note 3 has AC wifi
it got smart cover(sleep/wake on flip cover opening/closing), at least I assume, since my redmi3 does not have it
I think camera is bit better on note3

one major thing is that note 3 is more popular, has bigger support because of that, like cianogenmod 13 with android 6 already done...

anyway, for a sister I would go for note 3, girls love big screens
I went for smaller because of improved battery life when not driving the large screen, and because its my first smartphone and it already feels big in my hand.

Actually a lot of people from /csg/ have it.
Americans don't have it because it lack American bands compatibility.
It should work in Europe though and it's unbeatable at the price.

badabump

i have the option to pick up a redmi note 3 pro for 270 (AUD) a few towns over from me.

should i do it?

is that a lot of aud money or not? would ordering from alliexpress save you $100 aud?

Bit expensive, I paid 230 AUD for the 32GB 3GB pro (it was bought for me in China by a friend though). Still for 270 you are only going to get trash phones from the competition in Australia and at least you can take it back if there's an issue. You could see it as a $10-40 warranty.

When will Coca Cola introduce the ColaPhone™?

How's the Z3? Worth picking up or are there better phones around that price range?

What's a good cellphone for AT&T under $150? I don't care if it's used or a chink phone.

aliexpress.com/item/Original-Xiaomi-Redmi-3-Pro-3G-RAM-32G-ROM-Metal-Body-4100-mAh-Snapdragon-616-Octa/32641018014.html

hey, can someone give me some explanation on snapdragon processors notations?

I saw people saying 600 is better than 800 and then 400 was worse than 600 and some shit like that...

how does it go?

The first phone adapted for fat fingers?

SD652 : 4x ARM Cortex A72, 4x ARM Cortex A53, 1.8Ghz, 28nm, Adreno 510, X8 LTE

SD650 : 2x ARM Cortex A72, 4x ARM Cortex A53, 1.8Ghz, same 28nm, Adreno 510, X8 LTE

SD808 : 2x ARM Cortex A57, 4x ARM Cortex A53, 2Ghz, 20nm, Adreno 418, X10 LTE

The 808's 20nm advantage doesn't overcome the heat issues from the a57 and the adreno 418, which is why it is scoring worse than the 650.
A72 is a much more efficient core than the A57 as well.

Not him, but also looking for a cheap Pokemon Go phone.
What about HTC One M7? It won't run 6.0 or cm13 but it's fairly good and cheap, also has decent parameters, but I'm not sure about its battery.

im scrubbing gumtree, man.
cant afford to be grooming through all this "new" phone shit.

i kinda just want to hurry up and get it out of the way.
the more i sit on thinking of what X to get, the more i reflect on it later.

ARM - type of processor
cortex - I assume cpu
adreno - type of gpu
LTE - 4g internet needs cores?
20/28nm - litography

what does it really mean when phone claims to be octacore then?
And why did they fucked up and something newer and better on smaller litography is worse?

Day three: this is a $60 Pokémon GO phone:

androidpolice.com/2016/07/10/day-three-this-is-a-60-pokmon-go-phone-at-least-until-were-all-tired-of-it/

Source on OP pic? iqdb is being stupid.

>what does it really mean when phone claims to be octacore then?
8 Cores. BIG.little ARM architecture. 4 powerful cores and 4 smaller cores.

>And why did they fucked up and something newer and better on smaller litography is worse?
Because Cortex A57 is an old design. Cortex A72 is newer and more efficient. despite running on an older manufacturing process it runs cooler and faster.
That's why SD808 and SD810 are quite horrible SoC's. they overheat and throttle very often under heavy tasks.

Get the fuck out of here, homosexual. Fucking retarded 8-yo anime fags.

How does each mobile OS rank in terms of botnet?
blackberry
android
iphone

i second this
reverse search wont give anything

go back to mpl you furry anime faggot

> blackberry
botnet/10 everything goes through BBs servers
> android
botnet/10
known NSA collaborator
> iphone
botnet/10
known FBI/NSA collaborator

If you actually don't know the source then you still have a chance to stop watching anime and become a decent person.

Bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 (international model) for 500 euros.
How did I do?

thats like three xiaomi redmi 3 phones, congrats on pissing away money

Looking for a smart phone that reaches as much as the following criteria as possible
>physical keyboard
>camera (as good as possible)
>minimal botnet

Pyra

OP3 has shitty RAM managment and won't get as many updates as a Nexus. Go with the 6P

Just bought an OP3.

Did I dun goof'd?

it's a nice phone just could have been way better if oneplus wasn't retarded

Is it possible to connect an iPhone 5S with iOS 9.3.2 to Ubuntu 14.04 and transfer pictures and music and shit?

good for now but enjoy your super sluggish phone after a year

6P has outdated specs, throttle and is fragile as fuck. Go with the OP3

wait for the new nexus or buy the new op3 for only 400?

wait for the new nexus friendo i'm doing the same :~)

I hate xiaomi for not releasing miui 8 today for redmeme Note 3. And it even won't be Android 6. Fml. Worst decision made by buying redmeme Note 3 pro

That's like 10 spying apps in one go.

CM13 will get you android 6

Is this too good to be true lads?

Why though. Can't you just reset the thing?

bootloop

Ye but I heard the battery life is garbage on cm 13

>wakelock

What does this mean for my phone?
Do I uninstall the following and call it a day?
Using the inferior 5x

take and run lad

If that were the case wouldn't I be covered under eBay buyer protection?

>water drink reminder

no, it would happen in >30 days

You win

Do no Chinkphones work with Tmobile LTE?

Are the phones sold on motorola's main website unlocked internationally or just the US?.

typical millenial

How could they make sure it happens over that amount of time? I've been scouring the negative reviews for something like that but nothing. Just stuff like "it wasn't unlocked!" or "looks heavily used!"
I've been wondering the same thing. Was leaning towards the redmi Note 3 Pro before my hopes were dashed by other Sup Forumsentoomen.

Because some units are more prone to bootloop than others (pre-2016).

give me one reason why the z3+ isn't the best phone
>perfect 5.2 inch screen size
>waterproof
>1080p screen
>decent battery life
>sd 810
>3gb of ram
>300$

Whats a phone around 150 or less that works with verizon?

>SD810

There you go
