>NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming Performance Results Leaked – Faster Than The RX 480 in DX12, DX11 and VR Official Tests
>The GTX 1060 been reported to retail for $149 USD, giving gamers on a very tight budget the freedom to enjoy the latest games with a large number of GPU taxing settings enabled at their highest configurable point
I swear to god that fucker on currytech must be browsing this place.
Not even reddit gpu thread are this retarded.

>$249 for Non-FE not $149 OP is talking about the 3 GB version, which also has fewer CUDA cores has TMUs.
>Benchmarks are using older 480 driver pre-powergate. True, but the performance benefits with those drivers are minimal.
>They are also using a slower 4GB 480 with slower memory clock speeds and slower overall clock instead of the 480 reference boost clock of 1266Mhz. Source?
>But NEVER trust benchmarks from the manufacturer. This is true, however.
Kek, nvidia is on heavy damage control, they promised that the 1060 would be 15% faster. > 1060 launches > Rx480 is faster Kek if this happens im going to shit my pants, also the amd aftermarket cards will very soon be out. Also you can see from the benches that in 1440p the rx 480 scales better

Chase Collins
Can someone start making screenshots of those delusional AMD shills and make a video or something to btfo them once and for all when 1060 gtx comes out? Subhumans need to be put down.
Carson White
>Also you can see from the benches that in 1440p the rx 480 scales better This was pretty obvious from specs alone, but it also makes the complaint about them using SSAA in their benchmarks silly, considering scaling better at higher resolutions also means scaling better with SSAA.
Easton Carter
Nvidia pricing is always identically like the predecessor, gt 960 is like $200 it's possible 1060 could be $150.
Brandon Nelson
>currytech
Kayden Butler
shit still expensive here, so no lolo
Jayden Torres
>setting Nvidiot-fags for disappointment when retail prices are $249 or higher due to sheer demand
>scalpers are going make another killing off poor gayming-fags would can't wait until supplies stabilize
Nathan Stewart
I do not get why people support huge companies which do immoral things and screw over consumers. Fucking Nvidiots, man.
Logan Parker
>Nvidia pricing is always identically like the predecessor
Hudson Ramirez
>149 bucks
Proofs.
Camden Clark
sure it will
Aaron Myers
Yes you are. Posting Nvidia benchmarks from their biased PDF file like it is the truth. kek
Jonathan Walker
480 8GB is $240, though.
If 1060 3 GB ends up being $150, then that's some aggressive pricing. Based on specs, it shouldn't be much far behind the 6 GB version, so I have my doubts on the price tag. Probably ends up being $200.
What else am I supposed to support? Another huge company that would do the exact same thing in their position?
Easton Reyes
The $149 price tag happen maybe because its actually 2.5GB instead of 3GB.
Carter Cruz
the 1060 3GB is basically nvidias answer to the RX 470.
Easton Long
>$249 >not buying a $199 one and flash it to 8GB You sure like getting fucked in the ass don't you? Why not go the jewVidia way for maximum ass pounding, you twink?
Wyatt Moore
Holy shit this place is a fucking shit hole. They do it for hotpockets. And i thought Sup Forums was full of shills but that's nothing compared to this.
Josiah Gray
>AMD are scammers
Thanks for provre it point...
Nathan Torres
>nvidia lol
Joshua Ross
haha
Kayden Phillips
>buy 4gb 480 >try to flash it >doesn't work because you got an actual 4gb version whoops!
I wouldn't buy a 480 anyway. Nor would I buy a 1060.
Ethan Jackson
according to this the 1060 is overclocked roughly 200mhz on the base/boost clock.
Other benchmarks show the 1060 clocked up to 2000mhz.
Most likely that the 1060 FE will be slightly faster than the reference 480. AIB cards from both sides should put the cards on par with the 480 excelling in amd titles.
Jose Campbell
ITT: Enjoy your gimped performance when new generation hits the stores.
[H]ardOCP was right. Polaris will be a disappointment, hotter than Pascal, draw more power than Pascal, don't overclock like Pascal. The GlobalFoundries/Samsung 14nm is a mess.
End of the story.
Chase Martinez
POO IN LOO NOW I SHIT ALL OVER YOUR GPU
Matthew Ortiz
HOLY SHIT
Jaxson Cooper
>things that haven't happened >[citation needed]
>novidia takes away 0.5gb >>it's better this way, who cares >amdont gives away 4gb >>scammers just say you like taking it up the ass already. there is no shame in that, as long as you don't factor in you father's opinion
Colton Butler
>10 frames on games nobody gives a shit about >more expenisve >drivers will eventually make the 480 better
Brody Young
>pay more shekels for 8GB >the 4GB is the same card >not scamming
both are evils
Levi Lopez
>games nobody gives a shit about can you elaborate?
Wyatt Ward
I guess Nvidia is now for poor fags.
Liam Reed
The NDA end when?
Matthew Russell
>discounts are scams
Stupid noVidia fanbois can't even get proper shilling pasta from their handlers.
Jordan Carter
Pascal and Porlars both throw out a ton of heat at load and are a PITA to cool because the dies are bloody small and dense
Pascal is more power efficient but the gap isn't as large as Tahiti versus Kepler
Implying that Pascal overclocking gains aren't bottleneck by memory bandwidth
The real story is that GPU guys are running out of steam due to physics.
Brandon Brooks
>Pascal is more power efficient but the gap isn't as large as Tahiti versus Kepler
The 28nm to 16nm is a big step
Anthony Lee
>$149 >wccftech
Nvidiots will believe this
Carson Jackson
pls this
Liam Jackson
So 3.5 all over again? >nvidiots see 1060 for $150 >find out it performs 10x worse than real trusted benchmarks of a card called gtx 1060 >they find out 3gb and 6gb are nothing alike and nvidia tricked them
Juan Long
I have a feeling that AMD are going to drop the 4gb SKU and "drop" the 8 down to $200, or maybe even $185
Aiden Sullivan
sorry but the 1000 series will only enjoy superiority on a short term and it will die a gruesome death when dx12 and vulkan becomes a norm. Heck even now amd is already flexing its true power and its just the start.
GeForce FX all over again. Prove me wrong
Ryan Perez
I feel like we haven't even seen Tahiti's final form yet.
Elijah Russell
I'm taking about actual power consumption
The jump from 28nm to 16nm isn't that big. For goodness sake, GP104 is barely 50% faster in the best case than GM204 that it replaced only consumes 40W less when fully loaded.
Not exactly earth-shattering when compared to gains from previous die shrinks.
Noah Collins
how quick would 3GB of VRAM fill up?
Nicholas Roberts
>believing Nvidia MSRP
Christian Hall
>full damage control mode it's ok, rakesh. you win some, lose some. don't get salty.
Jack Moore
...
Caleb Smith
just a fact. try to get a 1070 or 1080 for the MSRP
Dominic Garcia
nah I'll buy the 480 I'm not a poorfag lmoa
Owen Gutierrez
>nvidiots are dumb enough to believe wccftech
Jack Hernandez
the only thing that the GTX 1060 has that is stronger than the RX 480 is the shilling team behind it.
Jason Baker
then also the fact that you can never get them at msrp out of burgerland even actet some years later.
Nathan Taylor
Calling it now:
Nvidia will use biased "reviews" like in the OP to claim the GTX 1060 outperforms the RX480, and will then subsequently mislead as many customers as possible into believing it is the 3GB 1060 that's getting the faked performance.
They really are a slimy company.
Lucas Sullivan
nvidia engaged full saturation attacks for the 1060's pre-release. Every review site is posting at least 3 daily articles for it since last week.
John Green
>will
see
Evan Wood
I thought that the original price of the GTX 1070 was only for the "Founder's Edition" and that third party version would be a lot cheaper
So why are they fucking $580 in my country, same as the Founder's one?
Nolan Cruz
market demand and supply
Zachary Cruz
Nvidia launched so early they can barely manage to ship 100 a week.
So why the fuck are they calling the GTX 1050 a '3gb GTX 1060'?
Caleb White
demand and supply plus taxes and shipping. Burgerland is the only place you can get close to msrp and its not happening for the next few months
Luis Cook
Same reason why 480s are $300+ on Amazon
Nathan Stewart
I doubt that nvidia didn't anticipate this situation and they themselves never expected their partners to remain below the FE's. IMHO they slapped the MSRP for shits and giggles; or to bring the perf/dollars graphs artificially down.
Owen Sanders
Thats already cheap. Reference 480 here are at 310+ usd and the custom ones will most likely go up as high as 330 to 350 usd.
Gavin Hughes
I'm starting to believe that for every mention of an AMD product there must be at least thrice more for Nvidia's.
paying the green price for review samples.
Tyler Wright
keep bringing out the 3.5 thing, its shows the lack of arguments for current discussion.
>2016 >b-but muh 3.5gb
Luke Morgan
>check 480 prices >$400 CAD >actual exchange rate is $260 - $310 depending on 4GB or 8GB
Why do we always get jewed?
It'd be cheaper for me to just drive across the fucking border and buy one.
Justin Nelson
>he thinks amd doesnt have review guides
Joseph Jenkins
They do. They have even written "articles" with a Sup Forums post as their source.
Charles Bailey
read it again and again until you understand, keep reading it, don't reply until you fucking manage to understand so he doesn't need to elaborate, if you don't get it, smash your head against a rusty rail until you can't function to use this website.
Jonathan Kelly
videocardz is the most unbiased official source I've seen same
Luis Miller
that's nice, while everybody slurps on 14nm dick, i just picked up a 970 for 230 shipped
Noah Morgan
Some dumb ass just picked up my 970 for 230! Ah HAHAHAHAHA
William Taylor
people like you actually exist

>buying a maxwell before 1060 is out
Joshua Murphy
Don't mind the haters, that's a good deal desu senpai
Jaxson Cook
if you could get two 1060s for 300$, why would anyone buy a 1070?
Christopher Edwards
Nvidia thought of that. 1060 does not support SLI
Dylan Powell
Cannot SLI 1060s.
Oliver Brooks
>falling for the bait and switch
Jacob Sanders
Why do people think the 3gb card is a cut down 1060? Its a fucking 1050.
Jonathan Young
Are you actually suggesting that it doesn't ruin your pc and overheat your motherboard like the 480 does?
Asher Jenkins
none of these arguments matter because in the end developers don't give a rat's fuck about amd and therefore it will always be inferior
Jordan Cruz
They will now because amd chips will be in every console and iphone/mac
