A reinvention of a broken wheel. I prefer it to working with Java/PHP though.

its the future, get on with the times grandpa

Seriously? This has been around for 3 or 4 years now, it's ancient.

Is it 2011 again??

pretty ez to make an api with

Hola

ruby for front end hipsters who only know javascript

tb᠎h though i really like it. non-blockig async, tons of modules for anything you need, high level of abstraction for most things

And don't forget bundled packet manager for easy require("leftward")

is V8 + libuv + an C++ API

it the reason why Sup Forums is dominated by bitterly angry retards who refuse to learn anything new

It's a joke that went too far.

the fastest server side technology right now

for I/O and request heavy operations maybe

not for math heavy operations though

>I'm retarded.
or you forgot adding "javascript"

well it used for web sites mostly so it's mostly I/O

its the best thing that ever happened to me,

No I did not forget "javascript" it is the fastest web back end right now. Lots of large companies are switching their back (at least partially) end to node.js

nice

seriously kill yourself.

It's the fastest growing meme right now.
You can do I/O ithat's fast enough for web in any scripting language. They could have used Tcl even.

A backend for hipsters, SJWs and trannies.

...

Go for retards.

go is garbage, not even comparable

>muh generics

Something is fucked in their testing. Most likely they run a single instance of node.
From their github:

>The tests were run with:

>Node.js v0.12.2
>Node MySQL 2.7.0
>Sequelize 3.1.1
>Node MongoDB Driver 2.0.33
>Mongoose 4.0.4
>Node Redis 0.12.1
>Hiredis 0.4.0 (C lib for Redis)

No proxy, like nginx.
Node.js does not scale on its own. You need to run multiple instances of node behind a load balancer.

Pretty nice technology to quickly create simple web services.
But there isn't superior in any way to other popular alternatives though.
