>edgy black screen
>apple shit

Just go stick your head in a toilet and you'll get the exact same experience without spending $1500

Yes. Step two on your way to the masterrace is to turn on autohide, remove all the icons, and forget the dock exists

I used to be a dark-fag. Computing with dark themed interfaces with the blinds shut, but for over a year I converted to the light and I think it's way better for you.

Open the blinds, let the sunshine in, and use the default "light" themes for everything.

I usually like darker screen setups because it's easier on the eyes, but this is ridiculous.

Darker is objectively slightly better is it not? Easier on the eyes, and if you're on a battery powered device, displaying blacks and darker colors takes less battery. But it comes down to preferences, I think darker themes for UI elements is better, but the background doesn't need to be as dark as OP

youtube.com/watch?v=zW6opMZg6wQ

what do you do in place of using the dock though?

Spotlight

but that's for launching and finding common files and such, not for interacting with running programs

how do you for example replace this functionality without the dock?

Dark wallpapers are shit unless you're on OLED, in which case you aren't saving any power really but at least you don't get IPS glow.

Flat color wallpapers look awful in general near anything that's layered, has shadows or a 3D effect.

You use the dock for creating new tabs? What the fuck. I just use keybindings.

how about your keyboard

dark themes are good mostly at nigth and depending on the surrounding light can sava you some good amount of eye strain however they often make different ui elements hard to see

web pages usually use light bg colors for better readability which means you should be in a well lid room even at night

No, for finding and switching between windows, especially when they're in weird spots on different workspaces

okay, mind sharing how you do this quickly?

Cmd+tab and Cmd+` along with Exposé

That doesn't work for multiple windows (of the same program) on different workspaces.

Of course not, they're separate workspaces.

>I use x
>Oh, why don't you just use y?
>Because y doesn't work.
>Yes it does.
>Then explain how.
>It works like this.
>But that's wrong.
>Of course it's wrong.

Are you fucking retarded?

says the guy who literally can not read

Same. Most websites are light and switching from my custom dark themes to bright sites was annoying

What the fuck are you on about?

>be completely retarded
>call someone else retarded

Just reread the post chain (if you can) my man.

user just tell me what tickled your autism. We were just having a conversation about window management then you went full perg out of nowhere.

>"Are you fucking retarded?"
>other guy went full sperg
jesus dude you are mentally deficient

I asked if he was retarded because he was going full speg, you fucking dumbass.

>going full sperg
>by summarizing the conversation and how you fucked it up so badly
You are legit a fucking moron lol

Take it from behind and it's even better

You're a piece of fucking shit, you know that?

I'm starting to think you have a genuine mental illness

Says the guy that just snapped and went off out of nowhere

I think that was you kek
>Are you fucking retarded?

>black themes
>open up any web page and you kill your eyes just a little bit more

No that was you, you fucking twat.

>summarize conversation and point out why you are screwing it up
>somehow this amounts to sperging out and warrants a flurry of childish insults
>meanwhile you claim that the other guy is the sperg
you are such a condescending retard it is unbelievable
I'm not sure if I've ever met someone so both condescending AND fucking retarded at the same time

>Skype on Linux

I can't imagine that many linuxcucks were desperate for skype of all things

>not using flux to change automatically to dark mode

I do like dark wallpapers since they make it easy to see all the icons you have on your desktop.
I usually use some dimly-colored art piece though.

>99% of websites are light anyway

desktop thread?

get on my level

Can you post that wallpaper pls ?

I've yet to screw up, that's where you went wrong. You were basically calling me a retard because you mistook my post. Good job, you fucking mongoloid.

pic related, I think this is the one. Tile it

>literally can't read
Is English your second language?

but why

I can read perfectly fine. You're apparently on par with a kindergartener though.

>be stupid
>rationalize this by calling others stupid
this place attracts the worst sort of idiots

arc mode > dark mode

You are beyond help. Off yourself.

Let's try to be productive here. What about my original comment do you take issue with?
>inb4 more insults

That you had too low of an IQ to understand my comment.

I still don't get why wanting dark interfaces makes a person edgy? Who started this fucking stupid maymay?

It's better on your eyes.

>doesn't even attempt to directly answer
>validates the inb4 and just throws more petty insults
whatever, you retarded manchild

using f.lux with light interfaces > using hodgepodge custom dark themes

...

Hey, I'm not the one who started it. You brought this on yourself you fucking shitstain.

Evidence?

Brought what on myself? Your inane comments and feeble attempts at insults? Like I said, it really seems like you have a mental illness or something
>not kidding or just bantering, you are legitimately screwed up somehow
>kind of saddening desu
>I have been arguing with an actual potato
: (

I think he meant Alfred 3

advantages over spotlight?

Yes, but that is just my opinion.

is that practical in any way?

Who else graphite masterrace here?

>mac
Never.

It has benefits for me, because I wear glasses, and light themes would cause reflections on them. On the other hand, dark themes don't have this problem.

>muh generic, popular opinion
nobody cares

I've tried it, but I didn't like it like I thought I would. I'm too accustomed to the traditional gray/white mode I've been using for past 8yrs.

>posts a stupid question
>gets a stupid answer
>expected something more

fuck off

ofc

fuck off retard

...

>It's [dark interfaces] better on your eyes.

[citation needed]
Everything I've ever looked up says otherwise. It's less strain for your eyes to read dark text on a light background.

>Darker is objectively slightly better is it not?
false, look it up
>displaying blacks and darker colors takes less battery
false, unless it's an AMOLED screen

You fucking idiots don't know how to google anything.

Do pixels even emit light?
I mean, there shouldn't be any difference between light and a dark theme if you keep backlight at the same level.

>Do pixels even emit light?
Yes, obviously. What kind of question is that?

I think surrounding light is a big factor that's usually not mentioned. I like looking at light-colored backgrounds when my surroundings are light, but I like using dark backgrounds when it's dark out.

>use apple
>popular generic opinion is shit

How do you come up with this shit?

how did you get that theme work with xfce?

Workflows, app integration, terminal integration are the big ones for me. Their website gives a brilliant rundown of the features it offers.

alfredapp.com

>dark
>superior
typical applel cucks

>relatively small percentage of PC market
>large but still minority of the phone market
>all the normies and young kids whose mommies buy them things think apple sucks and talk about it constantly
>constantly shit on on Sup Forums because this place is populated by basically kids and teenagers with social ailments with a few oldfags thrown in, all of whom share the same opinion about apple products

>le my opinion is the contrary opinion xD
I bet you also believe in white privilege and think that niggers are oppressed or some shit and that these opinions mean you're in the intelligent but small minority kek

No just dim the monitor

Well, according to a professor i took classes with, red light does not fuck up your eyes if using at complete darkness, not that wallpaper related is relevant because you are not going to be staring at that screen

...

Why are Mac fags half retarded hipsters?

Dark themes are stupid and make my eyes fatigued.

No
but a grey mode is

Download it
Install it
Enable it
Done

power it off for the ultimate experience

yes

Thank you, genius

I mean, why the heck does this happen when I install and apply it?

I thought everyone else used scripts to change the mode with the time of day

I do, I also disable lcd font smoothing. Who needs that on retina screens anyway, no more blurry messes.

Why are mountains the comfiest wallpapers?

hey,
i installed these
omgubuntu.co.uk/2016/06/install-latest-arc-gtk-theme-ubuntu-16-04
github.com/horst3180/arc-icon-theme

and used native xubuntu programs "appearance" and "window manager".

I'm not sure but I think it's because you're using shitnux. Try using an Operating System that isn't shit. Worked for me.

Graphite's only masterrace on 10.10 and up

>I bet you also believe in white privilege and think that niggers are oppressed or some shit and that these opinions mean you're in the intelligent but small minority kek

is over here

yes

>Linux
