Glorious i7 speccy thread

i7s. post 'em.
I start. i7 3770 on asus H77 pro m. still going strong, no reason to upgrade

Hyperthreading is overrated. You need to turn it off to get the best stable OC anyway

there is already a speccy thread, there is no need for an i7 edition or whatever the fuck you think differentiates this from the other thread.

>outdated i7
>shitty sata drives
>only 8gb ram

All this shirt in the year of ur lord?

>spic
>winblows 10
>8 GiB
>it actually says GB
>AMD Radeon
kys

>Have to gimp MT performance to get MUH CLOCKSPEED

OCers are fucking retarded I swear to god.

>Not knowing that that language isn't spanish.
supreme fagplep-

Not like anyone really cares about italians anyway.

>outdated i7
Ohhh i see. It's like how much? 10% lower IPC compared to 6700?
>shitty SATA drives
Remember, if it's for free everything is good
>Only 8GB of ram
yeah, never ever went past 6GB of usage. i can't justify paying for something i aint gonna use

>yeah, never ever went past 6GB of usage. i can't justify paying for something i aint gonna use
you've never gone past 6GB used because your OS just dumps things from RAM when it needs more so it never will use 100% unless you're doing some stupid shit.

Dynamic RAM allocation, if you have more RAM available, it will use more RAM.

I'm sitting here using 11GB just with ~8 chrome tabs and my music player. I also have 32GB installed so it has plenty to work with.

>Glorious i7
>Not wanting to be a Xeon God Tier

>I'm sitting here using 11GB just with ~8 chrome tabs and my music player.

top kek

I'd use less if I had less RAM installed you literal idiot.

Did you not understand what dynamic RAM allocation is or are you just a retarded memer?

I enjoy my i7. Rendering stills at source quality is fucking instant. Used to take a good 1-2 mins on my old 8350. Lets not even talk about video. Holy fuckballs.

Eh, I do enjoy my vidya when I'm not working. I worry a Xeon wouldn't keep up when I'm playing at 1440 or 2160p.

>Not using glorious 8-core CPU

have fun with that

...

Brother!

Maybe on LN2, yes - disabling HT will help. But on water I am stable at 5 GHz without disabling. Also IPC > Clock Speed.

The single core performance is about 1/2 of an intel so unless you're doing something VERY specific 99.999999 times out of 100 you will want the intel 4 or 6 core over an AMD 8 core.

Yesterday I were playing World Of Warships at 1800p almost the same with the previous machine (stocky i5 4690K, 12GB RAM and the same R9 290 at same resolution 3200x1800)

Xeons aren't too problematic with games. Old xeons maybe are, but not new

>8-core
You mean 2 cores with a shared L2 cache and instruction decodifier? No thanks, I prefer two old 6-core xeons over 4 cores + 4 crippled cores. I mean, AMDs 8-modules aren't bad CPUs, they work well under heavy loads but there're some times when IPC do a difference between moar cores and performance. My xeons aren't too far in IPC, but a slightly difference they make almost for the same price as an FX8350 + 24GB DDR3 and mobo but having 4 more cores.

>i7 thread
*Windows 10 thread.

Any Bloomfield love?
Also summer temps suck ass with this Hyper 212 Plus, thinking about grabbing a H50.

what are you doing with so many screens? I would like to have two but that would be it. whats the benefit?

...

Video production & 3d rendering + a screen for vidya. I literally have that many fucking tool sets to switch between. It's tedious as fuck but by far the most productive way to go about it.

>i7

so you mean an i5 with HyperThreading™ enabled?

No, If I needed 8 threads I'd just get an FX CPU and get ~90% of the performance without the 300% price markup.

>i7
>radeon

>not evenquad xeon with firepros or quadros
What's this trash

>i5

so you mean an i3 with 2 extra cores enabled?

>i3
So you mean a celeron with a bit more cache and dynamic clocks?
