Wtf is going on at spotify?

wtf is going on at spotify?

they keep handicapping their product, removing beloved features, haven't upgraded their apps in years...

is their leadership really this incompetent or; and i don't mean to go Sup Forums on you, is there some sort of sabotage going on?

i see no media coverage of this.

What does the poor man's apple play have to do with politics?

i want the lyrics feature back...

apple play is shit tho

So is the other thing.

What features did they remove?

What feature they removed? I remember updating the app last week

I switched over to google play music last week because they were offering 4 free months. I miss the good desktop client but at least it's free

They recently removed music match lyrics and have been having issue with buffering music (endless "this song cannot be played" even if it is downloaded.)

>buy roku
>see that there's a Spotify app
>try it
>looks like it hasn't been updated in several years
Lazy fucks

Just block te spotify auto-update feature in your hostsfile

Just use bandcamp, wtf.

>just use something else!
Find me something more convenient than Spotify that offers basically everything I would want to listen to in 320kbps equivalent for $5 or less per month.

Piracy isn't as convenient.

I dropped them for google play music, mostly for podcasts... but it's nice to pick an artist>album>song now instead of five pages of bullshit to navigate anywhere.

Yo devs, see foobar2000 and clementine? That's how you design a fucking audio program. The music is right there, organized from top to bottom, you click what you want and it plays.

It ain't fucking hard!

How much money will those artist see from the 5$?

>there are people on Sup Forums who don't have their music on their hard drive/solid state and an external HDD

>there are people on Sup Forums that don't own their own NAT and stream their own music.

>going that far

>streaming music

So basically nothing.

I just stopped using Spotify.

What is a good music player/library for Windows and Ubuntu?

>there are people on Sup Forums that listen to the exact same songs over and over and over again

Spotify is good for finding new music and it's accessible you cuck.

Nothing wrong with streaming on spotify. It's high enough quality free nevermind the paid version.

What's the matter?, do you have russia tier internet?

>What is a good music player/library for Windows and Ubuntu?

Clementine. It's the only one for Linux and Windows. There's also the Clementine Remote on Play Store.

For Windows Only, I would recommend MusicBee.

Fuck off, shilldick.

Spotify's radio feature sucks.

I should never hear KORN after MASTODON.

EVER

METAL isn't """""""METAL"""""""

Metal is shit tho.

There, I found your problem.

There's a really good desktop client out there that I use. It's more of a community thing and doesn't have offline playback but it's pretty good. googleplaymusicdesktopplayer.com/

I have music stored locally senpai, when I want to listen to something else, I download the album.

Who cares? I would pirate if Spotify wasn't more convenient.

Do you not care about the artists that create music you enjoy?

Take that back you piece of human garbage

> desktop app
> most of it is JavaScript

It was destined to be crap. Is there a single good application that does this?

I buy concert tickets when they come through and sometimes other stuff.

You do realise they make their nut on tours, not from record sales, right?

Nope. Metal is garbage for teenagers with long hair. The music is loud, shouty and sounds like a jumbled mess.

Literally ANY other genre is better than metal. Some 'rock' music is listenable though, casual ozzy stuff etc.

>everything that's not mainstream
>making "nut on tours"

Mastodon is """""""""metal""""""""

I listen to songs and not ablums. I guess I don't like downloading and listening to filler for the sake of it. Albums are for teenagers.

Spotify patcher exists. You're welcome

>Metal is shit tho.

Found the queer

Found the long haired twat with no taste

>Found the long haired twat with no taste

Queer without a sense of irony. Go listen to Katy Perry you shirt-lifting poofter.

>Queer who listens to iron maiden

nice

>Nope. Metal is garbage for teenagers with long hair. The music is loud, shouty and sounds like a jumbled mess.

Get back to your care home grandpa. I'm amazed you can even post on 4chins

>Literally ANY other genre is better than metal. Some 'rock' music is listenable though, casual ozzy stuff etc.

>Literally

Retard confirmed. Euthanasia for you is the only option.

Man, metal is such a good genre to listen too ;)

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST hahhaha

What a fag

metal sucks

Discover Weekly

Just read the lyrics of 90% of metal. It's childish.

JUST

When you reach 100 million users. Then you are ready to fuck them in ways they never imagined. It's what every app dev wants.

Spotify are really good at it.

I did this for many years, but it's so damn inconvenient. Having to choose the torrent on What.CD, wait for it to finish, synchronize my library, etc... I ended up exploring music on YouTube. Might as well spend a few dollars a month on Spotify. The constant cycle of short-lived hard drives got old too.

I still collect mp3's, but I don't think I'll ever use it as my primary music source again.

I just uninstalled it because it some how drains my battery idling in the background. Today I checked it and it was using 10% of my battery usage. Haven't used it in a month at least.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

is it really that much better?

I get Spotify for 5€ a month because I'm a student but I haven't seen any such option for Google Play Music. Is it still worth it? I'm in Germany so I wouldn't get YouTube Red with GPM
