Pic related, my New PC.

Where is the GPU?

Don't need one, also can't afford one.

Rate pls
Didn't build it self i bought it from a Computer Shop for 1000€

I5 4690k 3.50Ghz
MSI GeForce GTX 960
8gb Ram
2tb WD HDD
250 GB SSD Samsung

the right way

postan specs

Intel Pentium G4400
MSI B150M
Corsair VS550
1 TB WD Blue
8GB Corsair Hyperx DDR4 2133

Also Corsair 300R case

That's pretty shit for €1000i

this

I really like those vibrant blue cables
>tfw my pc is still sitting here for 4 days, unused. I need a new monitor so i could use it.
Specs: i5 6600, crucial ddr4 2133mhz ram, 1tb WD blue, Thermaltake 530watt power supply and h110m pro-d motherboard

Breddy good, but your PSU is incredibly overkill.

...

actualy pc was 900€ 1000€ with win7 pro and an asus vs247+ cheap microsoft mouse and keyboard

>paying for windows

Still not a good deal

OP here, you have really similar specs except you have a shittier motherboard while I have a shittier CPU. You have a better case, the 500R is better than the 300R.

I know, I was using a laptop for around a decade and I had no clue this was overkill now. What would you recommend?

>You would be able to get by just fine with 250w. But it is a good PSU, so there is no reason to replace it with an inferior one.

oops, didn't mean to greentext

Okay, thanks!

Yeah, i regret the motherboard. It doesnt have vga output which i could really use now, i dont care about its other specs - it runs. Also my case is Alexander Weise C853 (i doubt you will find anything about it online)

I thought it was the 500R because of the protrusion

>pic related, 500R

Go win in time spy now too then

Pic related is mine. Got it because it has seamless front plate just like my previous pc (the granite pentium 4) DVD slots are plain obsolete now (mostly)

Forgot pic

It just needs some red LEDs

Just need to add some fishing line or something to keep the gpu up and it'll be done.

Dayum son

Anti-Sag Gpu Chinese Chopstick FTW

100$ on Noctua fans? That graphics card looks really odd though.
Ninja stick, barely noticed it.

don't worry dude it's stupid and a waste I just do development I don't play faggot video games

Thanks for the support ;_;

$120 on my poo-tastic fans, and worth every penny.

The GPU looks odd because its fucking gigantic. Overclocked, it holds 60c at full furmark load with the fans set at 40%, and they only turn on after 50c.

Decent budget pc, do something about those cables and rotate the fucking CPU cooler, it hurts my brain.
Nice cables, I'm sure they can be arranged a bit better.
Mom's spaghetti.
I remember you from a previous thread, it's far nicer this way, also, rotate that friggin cooler.
Quite nice, but aren't you worried about the leaning graphics card?
Nice blue theme, the ninja stick was a good idea.

Dude, that sounds like a ripoff.

>rotate that friggin cooler
Nou, ill probably break its legs just like i did 7 or so years ago.

Yea, there is no space behind the motherboard tray. :S

Don't worry, just rotate all four knobs (doing opposite sides) as the arrow shows, pull them up, take it off, rotate the knobs back and check the plastic "arrowheads" on the bottom so the plastic middle piece is not between them. just put it back and push in the pins. Always do opposite sides and you will be fine. If you break the cooler it's about five dorra in any repair shop.

Is that a Bitfenix Neos? If so it can be arranged.

>cables
What's wrong with the cables? There's literally no other way to route them
>cooler
I did that on purpose ;^)

Close. It is a Bitfenix Comrade.

...

Route the PCIe connector with the 24-pin and tie those fuckers together.

user, your card is sagging

keeping it 300 like the romans

My new build

case?

Get your shield up or the graphics card will fall, my emperor.

(you)

Yeah, I thought the backplate it came with was supposed to help but obviously not. When are GPUs going to stop being this damn big and overweight?

Their insides are looking exactly the same, here is a build I did for a costumer in a Neos.

i5 4690K and r9 290

Oops outdated. I'm too lazy to bring my system into the kitchen to get a good pic.

Noice, it is clean af. Imma take out some time to try and tidy up my build a little bit.

>All these spaghetti builds

>got my new pc
>too lazy to unplug, take a picture and post

Meh, it's nothing cool anyway...

>case has cable managment
>hdd slots have wrong orientation

Who designed this shit?

I had that exact same case a while ago. Those HDD slots are a pain in the ass.

I doubt it was designed like that. Autistic user is more likely.

I guess I could screw the hard drives into the brackets backwards to run the cables behind the back plate if it really bothers you that much. Facing out is pretty convenient, though, I actually like that about the case.

Can't you route the cables for each drive into the cage itself and out the back? At least it'll look cleaner that way.

Happy with my new build.

Can't decide on a CPU.
Waiting on pretty much everything except the CPU to come in Monday.

My cpu comes Monday woop.

Which one did you order? I'm looking at BW-E CPU's, but I can't pick one lol.

...

>bw-e
Id go the 6800k. But I Got the 6600k since the i7 6700k is only better in work tasks and only marginally.

...

Where did you find that 690?

You're making Linux users look bad.

Well, see, funny as you suggest, that's the only BW-E CPU I don't want. I want the 40 PCI lanes.

I'd make use of a 6950X, but they're just so damn expensive. It's like for the percentage of the time all those extra cores would actually benefit me greatly, I don't know if it's worth the cost over the 6900K, or even just settling on the 6850K.

That board and RAM go so well together.

>I want the 40 PCI lanes
I doubt you'll actually make use of them however.

Even dual GTX 1080 wouldnt saturate x8/x8 a PCIe 3.0 link.

My mentor gave me it for some work at a high school I did. He got two and gave me one when he upgraded to two 1080s
Yah my mentor got the 6900k instead of the X again. I would say if you dont mind the no over clock the XENON cousins of those chips are cheaper and more powerfull. Just depends on you though.

...

I really need a better camera.

It's really bothering me how the two fin stacks aren't aligned.

...

and this is my server
4670k delidded with CLU
8gb dominator 1866mhz
256gb m.2 SSD

It's so impossible for me to align them. I can't get my BIG MEATY CLAWS in there.

Well. A contact of mine has two new GTX 980's, sealed in the box. And is offering to sell them to me for like $550. So, with three GPU's I'd be using.. What, 32 lanes still I think? One 16, and two 8's. Plus another 4 from an NVMe SSD. So 36. And I want a PCIe x1 screen capture device.

I'd be pretty close. I just don't know if it's really worth buying three 980's. New 980's otherwise are like $400ish still. Some are $450. And it wold certainly make my case look more bad-ass/full. I'd imagine they'd be relatively good at gaming for a while, too. And, the watercooling parallel bridge I need to get for SLI is actually a triple one anyways, because of my GPU spacing on the motherboard.

Boastin.

I thought we broke you of the SLI meme, ah well. God speed user, you'll likely end up selling them rather quickly though, 2 way SLI already has meh scaling, 3 way scaling is dicks and isn't supported by most games to begin with.

...

I thought SLI worked well in AAA titles, or at least a good portion of them? I don't really play games other than those, to be honest. He is offering me one 980 for just about $350 on it's own though. So, perhaps I'll just do 2x SLI. Seeing as I already have my old 980.

Actually, my PSU doesn't even have enough power cables for tri-SLI, so, regular SLI it is. lol

I have an extremely similar build to that
How did you get the DH15 first fan to sit above the RAM? I moved mine to the back and offset it because there was a plastic moulding on the mobo in the way.

SOME AAA games work with SLI, and usually not immediately at launch unless its a nvidia gameworks game or similar.

So sure, bigger games will work decently with SLI, but scaling still wont be fantastic, and you will still potentially only be using the power of 1 card because the game just doesnt have SLI profiles.

Depending on the games you play you might be fine though.

Well, like I said, I don't even have the PSU connectors, so. Fuck it. lol Just gonna go regular SLI.

Most benchmarks for regular SLI I see shows it as just under double frame rate for the games I play, but, I see adding a third GPU doesn't add much more. You'd think after all these years of multi-GPU, they'd have worked on this better.

>Implying they need me for that

I got mint installed to two SSD's in raid0 and the GTX 970 opengl performance is nice

>that dildo
absolutely degenerate

Nvidia is dropping support for anything but 2-way SLI with the 10xx series anyway. They basically are admitting it is a shit idea.

I saw that. I'm no expert on the GPU back-end, but I don't see why it's so hard to get good scaling performance or diminishing returns come so fast.

check out my cable management guys :)

You have to code specifically for it, and that's an effort most devs aren't gonna bother to make to any effective degree, considering the very low rate of overall SLI users. Maybe DX12's multiple GPU support will lessen that in the future, but I'm honestly not properly educated on the subject

It's a shame, because I think a triple SLI set up would look so bad ass in the new build I'm piecing together, instead of this awkward as fuck spacing I'll have with just SLI @16x spacing. lol
