why is Sense 1000000x better than Touchjizz lads?

s7 edge is the better phone though. You can always use a different launcher.

>Kyocera Hydro Shore is a waterproof smartphone that costs just $80
That thing is definitely on my shortlist for a backup phone. Hopefully it can be rooted and shit.

I really like Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro's design, but I also want something more powerfully but not bigger than 5", since my current shitphone (Sony E1) and I feel sometimes that is too big on my pants. Any other alternatives to the redmeme?

>something more powerfully but not bigger than 5"
Zuk Z2.

Xperia Z3 or Z5 Compact.
They're amazingly small, now that I'm used to these large ass phablets.

Will LG g5 "modularity" actually be useful or just a gimmick?

>modularity

It's just a dumb removable battery cradle and that LG replacement battery costs $70

>H2O
why not just say water ?

Because "water" might contain minerals which are harmful for the device. H2o is pure

Important question here about the Nexus 6p.
Should I buy the gold or white one?
I'm honestly torn between the two colours help me out here mates.

Get the gold if you are a girl or Armenian. Otherwise get the white variant.

Why Armenian?

>Leak reveals $345 price tag for upcoming Meizu MX6
gsmarena.com/leak_reveals_345_price_tag_for_upcoming_meizu_mx6-news-19442.php
What do you think, is this good? It's Meizu and it comes with MTK, but other than that it looks decent, especially with the 4000mah battery.

it's still MTK

Is the s7 edge the best phone? Which phones will be coming out in the coming months.

It's not though. Touchjizz is the only distro(?) that has modular systemui.

>distro

Hey just wondering if anyone could help with a phone suggestion.

Australia

Budget: 200AUD (would prefer 150-ish but can go up to 200)

Carrier: Telstra (thinking of changing to ALDI plan but they are supplied by telstra so i dont think that makes a difference)

Android

Extras: just want a decent camera and something that will have a nice enough screen and specs to watch porn and shit in VR on one of those cheap VR headsets.

I looked at the chink phone guide and saw the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro recommended, i can get it for $203 AUD including postage for the 2GB/16GB version, is that basically my best choice or is there anything else i should consider?

Also my current and only smart phone i have had is the nokia lumia 530 windows phone, So that means i dont know shit about how to use android phones will that make it too hard to use a chink phone where i have to do a whole bunch of shit just get rid of bloatware and get everything into english or should i be fine (im quite good with all other hardware and software stuff)

Thanks for reading, and hopefully helping.

I want to get this mobile, is it worth spending the extra cash for the 4gb of ram or is it wasted on this device.

Considering buying one but the lack of removable battery putting me off. Any idea what the expected lifespan of the battery is?

Requesting purchasing advice
>Need it to be an Android phone with the latest OS available - I need it for app development.
>Need it to not lag, not even after six months of use. This is by far the thing that could bother me the most.
>Would rather it not having a fingerprint scanner on account of paranoid thoughts, but it's not too important if the phone is good otherwise.
>Need it to not be huge - the iphone 4/5 sized are just enough for me.
>Budget is around 500 bucks or less. I will not be providing my country so you can just ignore the budget and I'll check if it's not too expensive.
pls help /spg/

Had it, it's fucking garbage. You can also get a smartphone for cheaper.

I know you're joking but there are ludditefags that are still considering that shitty Nokia.

It has an 3600mah battery, so it should be inline with most phones. It should last a day

Next month when my pay comes I want to buy a new phone.

I have a Huawei g620s right now, but it's showing it's age. I live in Hungary so EU, I don't know much about bands and what kind I need.

What I want to use my phone for:
-Play hearthstone (can't do that now,4.4 1gb ram)
-Play pokemon go (fps lag hard)
-Possibly play some other games
-Browse the internet with comfort
-Rarely make calls, I mostly IM
-Get a decent battery life
-watch some movies when I travel on a bus for 3-4 hours every few weeks
-Stream movies to my TV with chromecast
-Price is important, I don't have much cash, student povery

All in all, I just want to have a decent phone with decent build quality. I also wouldn't like to feel like I need to upgrade for at least a year or so.

I've been looking at some phones discussed here so far my chioces seem to be:

One Plus 3:
-Insane performance
-meh battery life
-expensive for me

Oukitel k6000 pro:
-Cheap
-Great battery
-Bulky
-meh performance?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3:
-Good performance
-Good price
-Good battery life

I'm sure I'm missing some points that are important, need a few pointers there, I haven't had a decent smartphone yet.

I'm only hesistant with the Note 3 because the announcement of the Note 4 is so close by.

I don't know much about Oukitel as a company I never heard of them, I don't know what to expect if I get this phone.

One plus 3 seems like a dream come true, but it's a lot of money for me since I'm working as a student and have to pay rent etc. but I'm pretty sure with those specs I wouldn't want to buy another phone in 2 years. Also the build quality seems amazing.

Any tips and pointers would be welcome.

A question friends, since i've never had a real smartphone I thought it best to ask.

Will I be able to use a data only sim in an iPhone? I only want to use it for mobile internet, all my calls and such are done through my current phone.

>Any idea what the expected lifespan of the battery is?
1-2 years with fast charger, 3-5 years using standard USB from your PC
Quick charging really kills batteries, it's a bad idea on phones with sealed batteries.

Why on earth does that brick need 4gb of ram? Can't it run on a few Kb?

>Sup Forums was already Sup Forumseddit 2.0 for a while now but now pokefags are coming onto this board just to shit up this place and this thread even further

When will it ever get better?

please help

Great, thanks for the info.

>meh battery life
And that's the only thing that keeps me from buying the OP3. It's battery life is worse than the LG G5's which has a smaller battery, it's simply retarded.

>announcement of the Note 4
Wait for it. If they announce a SD6xx Pro version of the Note 4, get it, otherwise get the RN3P. I'll do exactly this.

P-please respond

Any of you Anons who can troubleshoot on Android? Since this OS is making me so mad it's fucking incredible.

1.
Alright... So I have 350+MB of free space. Uninstalled all the apps and shit that might get in the way (googling this shit is fucking pointless). Now, I had Pokémon GO installed from downloaded .apk since I live in Europe but now when it's officially released I want to get it from the Play store so it updates automatically. Well... Before I uninstalled Pkmn, it had 144MB and there was no fucking problem. And now guess what? Store keeps saying I have no fucking space on my phone on everything I want to download. Fucking hell...

2.
Immediately when I launch the play store there's an error message that says that that data is not allowed to download in the background (don't know the correct english translation) despite it being allowed in the settings. Restarting helps only half of the time. Fucking infuriating.

3.
Can any of you please explain to me why you can't move apps to the SD card on newer Android? WHAT IS THE FUCKING REASON

I'll do that too. I almost bought the RN3P a moment ago, but realized I woudln't leave any money until next month, so I'll save it for a RN4P or whatever comes out.

>HTC 10 is currently 600 instead of the insane 700 it was at last month

FUCK I JUST BOUGHT A 1070

GOD DAMNIT

Has anyone used those samsung evo micro sd cards? How are they?

is it worth buying a used 6s over a used 5s when the difference is something like $150?

>want Sony Z5P
>no US carrier support

Why you do this, Sony?

How long is ot usually from the announcement 'til they start selling it?

why would you want sony's phone?

yes, vastly better and more future proof SoC than the 5S. Just for that alone it is worth the 150 more but you still get a bigger screen, better camera, 3d touch (gimmick now but might be useful in the future) and super fast touch ID. If you mean the regular iPhone 6 stay clear though.

Why won't Amazon let me buy the Moto G4 for the discounted prime price? It gives me the standard price at checkout.

>Will I be able to use a data only sim in an iPhone?
yes

The question is, how long is it from announcement until the resellers starting to sell it for a decent price.
The resellers will probably start selling shortly after the release, but for a ridiculous price.
I think it will take about 3 months for these jewish chinks to sell the RN4P for a decent price.

Get the note 3 if you can afford it more easily than the One Plus. stay clear of the Oukitel, you won't get updates and its performance is no good

Is there any hope left if I want a phone with

>fast updates
>no bloatware-filled skin, preferably "stock" android
>decent performance & battery life
>good camera
>maybe even dual SIM and SD slot

at a sensible price point below 450$ and screen between 4.7" and 5.2"? Seriously, WTF is it with phone sizes these days? Did everyone sprout giant hands while I wasn't looking? Are these phones equipped with antigravity so they follow me on their own?

The only real option I found so far is the Nexus 5X, but from what I hear the SoC is pretty old and the battery life ain't great. Now I'm what would typically be called a light user, will I be okay? Other phones I should look at? The oh-so lauded Oneplus 3 sadly is the same 5.5" as every other new release, it seems... still using a 3.5" device from 2010, would I get used to those giant phones after a while, or is it still decidedly awkward?

>at a sensible price point below 450$

no. otherwise, that would be the HTC 10.

bought an a5 but i should have bought an a7
o well at least its thin and reminds me of my galaxy s2

>HTC 10 camera flares
why do they always fuck something up badly

cheers

When u stop hitching like a little cunt

Besides being a tiny bit faster how will the new Nexus be better than the 6P? The 6P has stereo speakers and the new ones won't, so it seems like the 6P will be the better phone (Daydream excluded).

Reposting here, just in case.

Check the last thread, i replied there because I'm an idiot

I have my eyes on the note7 and the oppo find9. The oppo phone most likely won't be water resistant though so it would have to be really impressive to make up for that

what about moto g 2015 turbo? checks almost all boxes

currently using the OPPO F1 Plus or I think OPPO R9 in some other countryes. this shit goes hard. They actually managed to come up with a coherent OS of their own on top of Android even though the main idea behind it is basically an iOS knockoff.

1) the cache is full, but the OS often has issues correctly releasing it, get "app cache cleaner" via a torrent site and clean a bunch of apps that aren't critical. Probably a factory restore is needed, but I'm not 100℅ sure, i think it's Android being gay.
2) uninstall it and reinstall it? No idea
3) what version do you have? I know Android 5 requires special permission for SD card access on non-rooted phones, that's why.

Asking my own question, does all Android 5+ require rooting for full SD card access, or can the card be formated to EXT4 and be used with no issues like I've seen someone claim?

>>Need it to be an Android phone with the latest OS available - I need it for app development.
N5X.

Why is it the best option though?

they shill videos are getting to me with the one plus 3 and I can't wait 3 months for the note 4. I think I'm fucked. impulse buyers remorse incoming

Also I'd rather have a card slot for extra storage now that I think about it

The tiny bit faster is arguable, the Snapdragon 821 is quite a lot faster and more efficient than the 810.
It is not yet confirmed if the next Nexus won't have stereo speakers they might use a similar set up like the HTC 10, where the top speaker is front facing and the bottom speaker is doubling as a subwoofer.

Because it's the only phone that is guaranteed to get updates, and not too big like you wanted.
S7 is also 5.1" and has a SD slot, but it's much more expensive and updates will probably be delayed.

I've been using a iPhone 4 for years, but I want to try out Pokemon Go with my friends, plus do more stuff online when going out.

Should I get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro, does that perform alright for Go/Internet/Netflix/animu?

Or should I wait for Redmi Note 4 that's coming out soon? Pokemon Go could just be a fad anyway, but still want a more powerful phone.

Have you considered the iphone se?

What browser are people using? I have a S5 so chrome is complete shit.

I tried using RSBrowser but read that any PIN info or other personal info isn't safe.

This. The non pro version is not too expensive and has an unlockable bootloader. No sd though

I currently have 4.5 inch phone and I am looking at Xiaomi Mi 4S since it's 5 inches and not bigger than that.

Do anyone have experience on Xiaomi Mi 4S?

Redpill me on >hisense infinity f20
I'm about to buy it for $130.
Thanks bros

You need a phone with a gyroscope for the AR stuff so get a samsung phone instead.

S5 is ~$250 on amazon:

amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019959H0U

Geekbench 3: ~1000 single and ~3000 multi

Samsung internet. Seriously.

Why would anyone buy that manlet phone. Why not just recommend him a $1,000 128GB iPhone 6S Plus?

>gyroscope
Thanks m8, forgot Go would use that.

I'll check out the S5, fits my price, wanted something under $300.

Alright I'll go with N5X I think, 32GB should be more than enough. thank for the advice user.

Why not the Mi4c? it's essentially the same phone minus an SD slot but $60 cheaper.

>1GB RAM
>8GB ROM
>2500mAh battery
It's a horrible phone that is not worth a $50.

RN3P has a gyroscope. but you should wait for the RN4 anyway because the prices will go down.

Not him but are you sure 2-3 years down the line you won't regret having a microsd slot? Pic related will probably drop close to $100 as 320 and 400 GB microsd cards come out next year.

*not having a microsd slot

Wait until October if you can when the next Nexus comes out. N5X will be deprecated by then.

What do you recommend for a price if around $150?
Instead of the infinity f20

S5 is pretty pricey in Australia.
>RN3P has a gyroscope. but you should wait for the RN4 anyway because the prices will go down
May just wait it out.

>around $150
Moto G4 from amazon is $150 with ads that you can easily remove later.

amazon.com/Moto-4th-Generation-Exclusive-Lockscreen/dp/B01EZC9WC0

1. Boot device into bootloader / fastboot mode by powering down then holding volume down and power until it boots
2. Open RSDlite 6.2.4 and select the remove-amazon-bloat.xml
3. press START and wait for device to reboot. thats it once rebooted your amazon apps and lock screen ads are gone.

rootjunky.com/amazon-ads-bloat-removed-from-the-motorola-moto-g-4th-gen/

A 400 GB microsd card does sound good.
If you have a recommendation for a cheap(at least cheaper than the S7) phone with a card slot, that I can use for testing apps on the newest OS, I'd love to hear them.

I can't, I have to buy a phone first thing next paycheck.

Upgrading from a old Samsung Ace 4, thinking about a Vernee Thor? Am I going to fuck up? Any other decent phone in the 90-110€ price range?

T-thank you senpai

>110€
Redmi 3s Pro or Mi4c. if you are going chink please stick the known brands and not the literal chinkshits.

It's getting a Xiaomo redmi pro 3 worth it? Or will it be worthless and unsupported in a few years time

How can I get paid to shill my chink shit?

USA / AT&T here

I want something with the fuckhuge size of a Note and the ruggedness of a Galaxy Active. But I'm also not sure I want to stick with Samsung. What do?

I'm thinking of getting the s7 edge but I don't know which color. Silver or black?

What's the best phone for about 200€? Moto G seems to be the popular choice, but it has an integrated battery. Honor 7 Lite and LG Nexus 5 are interesting too, but they suffer from the same problem. I don't really want to tie my phones life to its battery. I mainly lurk mongolian meme centrals, listen to music and occasionally watch something from Twitch or my NAS. I kind of have to buy it tomorrow so I'm more or less limited to these stores.

yeah, they're all shills. better buy new Samsung Galaxy Note 7!

the problem are the lte bands, no support for B20 800Mhz
