>clean install windows 7 >updates don't download >WTF >manually install this patch support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3102810 >updates download like it's 2009 >fuckyeah.jpg
IMPORTANT INSTALL STEPS.
>before installing the patch >check and see if the "wuauserv" service is running, if it is, stop it. The service is found in Task Manager > Services. >disconnect from the internet >install patch >the patch should install within a minute >reconnect internet >reboot
If you don't follow the above steps, the patch will hang at the "searching for updates" window, and never install.
That's it. Once the patch is installed, Windows 7 should find updates within 5 minutes.
I just installed from disk with the internet off. Microsoft needs to get their WuAUserv shit together.
Chase Morgan
>follow above instructions >go afk while updates install >return to computer to find updates stopped midway through because of hibernation >now its stuck at checking for updates again
let this be a lesson to turn off hibernation beforehand.
Gabriel Butler
I can't even install the fucking patch what do?
Mason Barnes
did you ensure the wuauserv service is stopped, and disconnect the internet before installing the patch.
Try rebooting, then try again.
Are you running Windows 7 SP1?
This patch will not work for Windows Enterprise.
Angel Rodriguez
>7fags already having problems
LOL enjoy your trainwreck of an OS for the next few years until some exploit turns your pc into a bigger botnet than 10 will ever be
Zachary Baker
Yes to all of that except for the disconnecting part. I'm installing a new patch. I don't get why I need to disconnect my internet
Michael Adams
>tfw you get called a 7fag
Jack Hill
It finds the updates eventually, it just takes like 10 hours.
Luis Bailey
why should I update
Zachary Anderson
kek okay I went to sleep for 8 hours and still nothing came up. Why should we answer that for you
Carson Young
YOU HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE INTERNET TO INSTALL THE PATCH.
If you don't, whatever bug that's currently in their update service will prevent the patch from installing because it's currently broken.
Chase Lee
Doesn't follow instructions, cries the patch won't install.
Fuuuuuck.
Jacob Young
I actually had a virtual machine I forgot about checking for updates. I remembered about 24 hours later, checked it, and it was still searching for updates.
Installed the patch, and it found updates within 10 minutes.
Hunter Cox
okay im sorry for crying
Gavin Collins
I installed it on a virtual machine as well. I just left it running to see if it would ever find them. It took it a little more than 11 hours, but it eventually found them.
Parker Wood
Retarded shill spotted

>download wsus offline update >blacklist the "feature" updates and botnet updates, only install security updates >do clean install >run wsus >fully updated system in less than 15 min ez
Christian Wright
it didn't work for me got stuck at the update client that ms released. didn't do anything for 7 hours
Andrew Watson
>tfw haven't updated my computer in over 2 years OS still runs fine, there's literally no reason to update.
Caleb Jackson
>got stuck at the update client that ms released What, you aren't supposed to even use or see windows update.
If you use wsus offline update all you're going to see is the command prompt and automatic reboots.
Blake Diaz
Plebs, all of you.
1. download original win 7 iso with SP1 2. manually download and inject all safe patches into iso 3. ??????? 4. INSTALL
Liam James
How do you know which updates to avoid?
Daniel Garcia
i did use wsus
Ian King
Why are you not installing Rollup Update that install updates from 2009 to April 2016? 1) Clean install. 2) Download and Install Internet Explorer 11 - Disable option "download updates" during install. 3) Restart. 2) Download KB3020369 x86 or x64. 3) Download KB3125574 (400mb) x86 or X64. (Download it from Microsoft Update Catalog via Internet Explorer.) 4) Disconnect from internet. 5) Install KB3020369. 6) Install KB3125574. 7) Restart. 8) Check for updates. Install updates from april to july. Hide useless extra updates like wat or telemetry. 9) Enjoy
Lincoln Barnes
I already did one week ago and it didn't work. Windows doesn't just werk. Drivers issues, updates shitting the bed...
Anthony Smith
>w7 is totally better than w10 b-bro!!! >y-you just have to do this long list of steps and tweaks for it to w-work!!!
HAHAHAHA. kys
Dylan Morales
You can uninstall and completely remove all telemetry updates on windows 7. On windows 10 you have no easy solution, microsoft literally fights you by circumventing your hosts file and your workarounds _will_ get broken by a future update.
Bentley Garcia
Are there any good update batch that I can download?
Never updated after it fucked up my drivers for sound and wifi.
Sebastian Russell
Isn't win7 supported till 2020? So then why updates aren't working the old way?
Jace Miller

Joseph Kelly
