Which brand of thermal paste have you had the best results with?
Personally, I've only ever used Noctua, but I'm open to other suggestions.

I like Arctic Silver 5.
same. used cooler master before that
olive oil and garlic does a great job
Noctua is the best.
cum is the best
Tried it, my CPU shut off within minutes.
Using $1 paste from China, pleasantly surprised.
Use it for my laptop, no noticeable temp change, use it on my HD5770, ~5 degrees temp drop, use it on my cpu, no change.
Going to order a A$3 30g tube for work, it'll save me a lot of money on paste.
...
Seems your cum is of low quality.
i use this as well, after a year of using arctic silver 5.
2 degrees difference with literally $10 price difference
Sad thing is, 2 degrees is well within the margin of error too.
I can see myself buying Arctic silver 5 if it's 5 or more degrees cooler though, but the current difference is minimal.
Please share the link for this thermal paste. Is it from Gearbest?
Gonna reapply thermal paste on my GPU, was the best method?
I've only ever used the cheapest CM paste I could get or thw one that comes qith the 212 evo. It just werks.
Mx4 when i need non conductive, coolabs ultra when i don't.
Always used Prolimatech PK-1, works as expected but probably no different to anything else
Rice grain in the middle, as least that's what I do.
I've got a Noctua and a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3. I normally use Noctua just like you OP. Stick with the Noctua compound.
That being said, I'm curious to try
Which performs better, the bequiet or the noctua d15?
Literally the cheapest shit you can find on eBay, it's all the same so don't bother spending 20c extra on Chinese shit that looks more premium.
It's like a dollar extra for the 30g tube with gold or silver instead of grey or white. I'm tempted...
Noctua but the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 comes really close.
This. I have no reason to use anything other than Arctic Silver 5.
No troll. Has anyone actually tried this and posted results?
Depends on what I'm cooling. A CPU gets five small dots. Four out to the corners, one slightly larger in the middle then put the surface straight down. A GPU I will use an X.
That's too much breh
FOR SCIENCE!

Sup Forums
full of normal people.
>AMD CPU
>No CPU COOLER
A moment of silence for this user, he didn't know about DAT AMD meme.
I too tested it on an intel cpu. Here are the results.
What happened to my precious Sup Forums?
Where did all the summer Sup Forumstards come from?
honestly i visit Sup Forums for this kind of derailing threads
But this is the good stuff.
Go back to jacking off to GPUs.
just a few days ago i tested Noctua NT-H1 , Arctic MX-2 and a chinese one.
Noctua had the best temperatures, followed by the arctic, but the chinese one was just 3-4 degrees above the others, on a medium temperature of 75 degrees under stress (tested on a gayman laptop).
For the price point, the chinese thermal paste is very good if you often assemble or repair computers
>30g for 2 aud
Very good is an understatement when compared to brand name shit for raw value.
>What happened to my precious Sup Forums?
>What happened
>Implying anything has changed in the past six years
Cummings on CPUs is a seriously old may-may.
Nice GTX 690, dude.
>Cummings
Bloody android autocorrect. Cumming, not cummings.
Lol @ you plebs wasting all your money on expensive thermal paste.
I've been using pure cream cheese for years, and then I just put some on my bagels too. Feels Good Man.
>cream cheese
>Not using your semen to cool the CPU and be one with the machine
Imagine taking your cooler off after 2 years of cream cheese.
Mayonnaise has the best price-performance ratio.
I've heard silver compounds fuck with aluminum/copper alloys and basically solder the sink to the heat spreader. That's bullshit, right?
...
What do the numbers say?
Fuck. Can that happen if I use Arctic Silver 5 with my Noctua NH-D14?
That depends, are you using AMD?
sun blocker, i call it tropical cooling
Put it in a computer and fire it up faggot
That can happen to any thermal compound if you've used enough of it and left it long enough. It's not specific to any metals or other substances, it's just the thermal compound drying. To remove the heatsink in such a situation, run a CPU intensive programme like prime or the Intel burn in test and then twist the heat sink while pulling after its reached a nice temperature.
how much of a faggot you are for not being able to read a temperature graph
Of course not.
You're safe
I had a thermal problem with my i5 3570k back then.
Mainboard: Asus P8Z77
Cooler: Corsair H100i
THC: Liquid Pro metallic THC with 82 W/mK
I got that build from my company on Christmas 2012 or 2013.
The cores were around 75-95°C and the lid was around 60°C.
So i delidded the CPU using a vice, a thin razor and a small hammer.
I cleaned it, replaced it carefully with the metallic THC and closed it with four tiny dots of silicon so i could easily mount it back into the socket.
Then i used the remaining metallic compound between the watercooler and lid.
Tcore is 53-55°C at 1.39Vcore (offset) at 4800MHz.
I stopped getting higher because the mainboard VRM heats up a lot, i don't want to pump more than 1.4V into the ivy and the speed is good enough.
Same, I've been using Arctic Silver 5 for ten years and have no reason to switch.
