I don't run multiple at once, so I don't know about that, but there are no performance issues when running one VM.
I don't know much about virtualisation, but from light reading VMs don't cost much in terms of performance these days because of how CPUs are designed.

I don't own one but I've tried typing on it before. It actually doesn't feel as abysmal as it looks, but because there's almost zero travel distance it really feels awkward compared to a standard chiclet keyboard. I guess you get used to it after a while, I didn't really like it, but to each his own.
