Firefox 49 is going to remove Firefox Hello

>Firefox 49 is going to remove Firefox Hello
Fucking finally, now remove pocket and other unwanted features. This is actually a good decision on mozillas part for once.

Why is it being removed?

Nobody liked it and nobody used it, so mozilla sees no point in keeping it in firefox when everyone is going to disable it upon new profile.

Noice.
I did disable it right away as well.

The only feature I want from Firefox is electrolysis. Not giving shit for anything else.

This and contextual tabs

so did i

maybe now they will focus on the browser and not on stupid shit nobody asked for

happening confirmed

Apparently it fucks with e10s. Since Hello was supposed to get an update in the near future, it might be that the assholes focusing on adding useless feature after feature are finally losing ground to the people that just want to improve performance.

Firefox will be made great again! The SJWs are losing.

Going to feel great never seeing all those options again.

Keep dreaming. SJWs aren't going anywhere.

Wait, Firefox won't get more shit after the next update?

I kinda liked hello desu

Now they just need to bring back tabgroups, so I can dump this addon.

I think mozilla is starting to wake up. It's not too late to return to appealing to power users.

It just means they're going to be removing hello from firefox soon. One less thing you'll have to disable when making a new profile.

Why?

what is firefox hello? some kind of motd you can turn on?

Oh yes they will.

Once lord trump is president they will be committing suicide all day.

Either that or running away to canada. In the end, firefox and america wins.

Video and voice conversations online. Mozilla thought it was necessary to include it with firefox rather than having it as an optional addon.

sorry but aside from privacy concerns(not if you arent pedo)

chrome is light year ahead of firefox.

vivaldi is better replacement though

No.

>By tapping into what and how people are browsing, Mozilla hopes to unlock “the next generation of web discovery on the internet.”

Meaning, they will sell your browsing history.

I hope your mom dies soon :)

I used it for video calling the parents. Email them a link, they click on "allow" and you're up and running. I'm sure there are other WebRTC options that are similar available though.
