Honest question: why turn off your GPS? It's far from energy-consuming AFAIK.
Shills don't even hide anymore.
Nah, just a normie who doesn't give a fuck if his phone knows where he is. That info is already available based on cellular towers 'n shit.
Android doesn't have this problem.
Why have it turned on?
it actually is
To use location-enabled apps.
>tfw can't use grindr without giving away location
is there any way around this? my love for ass is getting in way of muh paranoia
Xprivacy has mock location iirc
>using location-enabled apps other than Maps
kik me bby
Noticed the same. Google a shit
in CM though you can select which modes the notification area trigger will use, but it's still shit
It drains my shitty battery real quick so I only enable it when I need it.
Pokémon
this
High-accuracy consumes much less battery than 'device only'.
What are you cucks afraid of? The NSA seeing your home location? Pretty sure they already know where you live, retard.
This x10.
Also use permissions and privacy guard to deny location requests from apps which clearly don't fucking need your location to work.
I have tasker set up to switch off location when the screen is off, power saving when screen is on so my pebble can periodically fetch weather info, and to enter high accuracy when gmaps is launched. Werks well, tasker is just too useful.
Also because device only can (depending on your location and phone) take up the three fucking minutes to lock on. High accuracy takes about 5s or some shit, pretty good for not wasting ages trying refresh your location.
>location based snap chat overlays
>gps based games
>geotagging
>locating places near you to go to
>finding nearby friends
And that's just the few shitty apps I used.
How do networks improve accuracy?
Not OP but,
I'm running Android 6.0 right now and it does the same thing to me it's really fucking annoying..
