Rufus for Linux?

yes

But Linux already has dd.

UDF says no. Ever tried dd'ing an UDF image? lolnope

Isn't rufus closed sourced? Are you sure you have the right to fork it?

GPL v3

Okay then, keep up the good work, user

Clearlooks is the best look.

Arguable. Adwaita is also really nice.

...

That's not Qt.

Jokes: It is.

>implying gtk isn't qt

That's not GTK3.

Test it with UDF

I seriously hope that this really is Qt.

why do people want Qt? it's shit

>qt
>modern gen bloat
gtk is still the best library

>bloat

>qt isnt bloat
>runs slow as hell on pentium 3

Thanks, man. There's not really a good live USB creator for Linux besides weird command line stuff.

SUSE image creator was okay but it lacked UDF support

gtk is shit but doesn't have the excuse of being cross-platform

doesn't ubuntu have one?

bump

Ubuntu one never works properly

bump

bump

Still requires an icon, OP.
That's important!

Saving for later.

When will it come out?

dd works fine for me but I never had to do any UDF shit

This guy gets it.
We need to start forking the rufus logo

Where is your github link?

>bootaqble
You might want fix that for them.

is it available for anything outside of MATE?

UDF? Do many distros use that? I haven't bumped into that myself.

KDE

Any GTK compatible environment can use Clearlooks or some clearlooks bootleg.

GTK3 too? How?
Cant find anything on that.

Keep up gods work and post a link to your git.

Change widget style

I don't know why all Linux desktops don't just use Clearlooks instead of changing up their window every release. This is Linux's problem: zero consistency.

Clearlooks truly is the perfect blend of uniformity, functionality, and aesthetic. It would have been the perfect way to compete with Window's window decorations.

However every desktop distro has a dark-as-my-soul theme because apparently all users are edgy emo kids who only use it in the dark.

Yeah you know as well as I do it's not there.

Stop wasting time.

In some alternative universe, GTK2 (and Clearlooks) became part of X and well supported default, and all the ricer kids had their own corner with shitty GTK3/KDE clones.

Actually try not being dumb, KDE has clearlooks

When I ran KDE5 a few months ago there was only light and dark. Also, no trace of whatever you speak of on kde.org. At minimum, provide screenshot.

>Light and dark
That's "colors". You should be looking at "widget style"

You need to customize a theme. For whatever reason many environments don't include it as a preset, but all of the parts are there.

When you choose to customize a theme or window style, Clearlooks will always be there whether it's LXDE, XFCE, MATE, even KDE.

OP here. KDE has a GTK fallback engine, to use GTK themes.

And there is the GTK3 port of clearlooks, dubbed clearlooks phenix. Here:

I don't understand.
I've used Rufus for installing crunchbang, does it not work on other distros?

ITT: people who don't know about the ROSA Image Writer, including someone who's wasting this time reinventing the wheel.

thanks!

I guess I missed it then. Just so dont install just to have a look, can you post a screenshot?

thanks man!

Holy shit, We need this.

Rufus is literally the only reason i still have a windows partition.

You used Rufus on Windows to write a crunchbang image to a USB drive, right?
I think he's porting Rufus to GNU/Linux.

A little known distro called, simply, "Windows".

Oh yessssss

Remember that Rufus for Windows is not making Arch Anywhere bootable.

Yes but in it's defense many tools don't.
I don't know what the fuck is Arch doing differently from the rest but their images seem to only work with dd.
