hey Sup Forums I really fucked up >couple years ago changed router password/username >now I need to change some settings but I forgot my Username/password
Is there anyway to get in without authentication?
I know I could reset it and whatnot but I have family over and I really can't afford to reset it.
If it really is your router it shouldn't take you more than 5-15min to set it up after you reset it.
Joshua Ward
Routers usually have a reset button. The username+password is in the manual you got with it.
Hudson Rogers
yes it actually is my router I want to get into it so I can limit the amount of bandwidth my family uses, they've been watching Netflix and downloading random shit for 2 days now It's fucking insanity
Yeah I know but I changed the default password
Aiden Edwards
>I could reset it
No. Doesn't work that way.
Henry Campbell

OP is trying to get into some girl's router so he can take his stalking to the next level
Austin Russell
gee dude that's easy just write down ssid name and wifi password, reset router change router login password do qos/bandwidth limit like you wanted, and use same ssid and password.
Nolan Martinez
The only way is to physically reset it with the button on the back of the router.
I'm assuming you haven't already done this because you dont have physical access to the router and are really just trying to break into a network for free internet or other nefarious reasons.
if you press the hard reset button it will go back to factory password.
Logan Hughes
unless you changed the admin/manufacturer password, which nobody does, you'll be able to get in through there
look up your equipment and how to get the code, this is a job for google
alternatively you can rip it apart and pull out the battery, failing that you can find tutorials on hard-resets for most computers and peripherals. provided you didn't scratch the key off the back/the sticker from the manual/the code in the quick set-up documentation/wherever it is, you'll just have to reset and then reconfigure your router with that key
not hard, just annoying and time consuming
Hudson Peterson
What kind of a Sup Forumsentooman forgets his password? At least write it on tape and put it at the bottom of the damn thing of you got Alzheimers
Jaxon Morales

Just because she's legal today doesn't mean she was at the time of the picture.
Josiah Foster
>2016-1995= Jesus fuck what a terrifying thought that number gave me. Even worse, people born in the 2000s are soon allowed here.
Wyatt Price

Call your ISP. They should have no problem helping you out if it's actually your router.
