If you want lightweight, just install Fifth or Min and get it over with.
Blake Ortiz
But how functional are they?
Ethan Wilson
What a great browser
Oliver Flores
That depends on the user. If your baseline is text-based browsers, they're plenty functional. Anyway, just give them a try at least. People don't go browser shopping that much. Don't even bother with it on Windows, it crashes as much as Arora. Even Qupzilla is no good on Windows.
Charles James
Being rich and not being able to do more than a poor person doesn't sound very flattering
Austin Lewis
>GTK
To the trash bin it goes, midoshill.
Kayden Ortiz
testing overheating with Sup Forums xDDDDD
Open a site with fucking videos and shit, faggot
Jaxon Flores

>having to use killall regularly to get a smooth browsing experience Chromium users everybody
Landon Rodriguez
Give me a real browser that isn't another os, you piece of shit faggot.
Noah Bailey
It's in the OP, you fucking dunce Also >Chrome >consumes more memory than a "whole OS" browser while not even capable of having a custom UI layout
Lucas Foster
you actually got me. I'm sorry I called you a piece of shit faggot.
Luis Ross
really, what would be good alternative for windows?
Jordan Ward
No need to apologize, just doing my part in helping you get out of the closet.
Nolan Cruz
>open imgur >crashes good browser
Gabriel Reyes
thanks :)

>Firefox and other FF if you're poor Not sure if I get that logic. Doesn't Firefox eat up way more RAM than Chrome?
Ian Ramirez
what distro/de?
Using fedora 24, xfce and firefox and without anything open (excluding small startup applications) I'm on approx. 900mb already. 2 Sup Forums tabs on firefox are using another 400mb.
Jonathan Nguyen
>tfw nowadays programs just abort() when malloc() fails
James Edwards
No, that's just a meme, Chrome is way bloatier
Evan Hill
>tfw you can't rice Chrome Only reason I don't use Chrome tbhdesu. Firefox is slow as fuck but I use it anyway.
Isaiah Hall
I installed elementaryOS on my mother's laptop because it's somehow easier to use for her than Windows. However, when something is fucked, everything is fucked. I remember the terror of getting the fucking Dropbox icon to work.
Wyatt Murphy
Well, it doesn't crash on my pc? Hasn't crashed once in the 3 days I've used it
Jayden Watson
go and play some youtube shit, it will die. Better yet, open a couple of programs in different desks and move around the desks. It will burn like the sun. As much as I thought too that elementary was really nice out of the box it's shit and unastable. Later on shit will dissappear or you won't be able to listen to music or some other crap.
Angel Parker
I like Midori, it just feels too cramped, but it was always fast and ran well on my dead hardware. I use Pale Moon now, and it runs great, and looks great on a Pentium Dual Core with 4gb ddr2. Much better on startup than chrome.
>lightweight extreme edition >4 tabs = 50 mb~ per tab >adblock integrated >minimal UI maximum screen usage >everything 1 shortcut away >task + tab management -open a task with 4 tabs under it for one topic -open another task with x tabs under it for something different -- not clutter, everything organised
Thomas Bennett
Does it support html5? Flash? YouTube works fine? Sup Forums captcha works fine?
Those were the main issue I've had with lightweight browsers
Brandon Gonzalez
supports html5 no flash integrated youtube with html5(standard) works fine
Mason Thomas
Yes,
> smaller memory footprint than any other full-featured browser > loads fast even on old hardware > adblocking > fine grained control over javascript and cookies > userscripts > notes > RSS reader > customizable shortcuts
Luis Turner
This.
So much this.
Alexander Morgan
>Midori is no longer crashy Biggest lie of 2016
Ryder Carter
OP here. It hasn't crashed yet on my pc.
What's your os?
Mason Morgan
Can confirm, mine isn't crashing either
Jack Harris
still has retarded scroll speed
Jace Reyes
There really isn't one.
I'd say Opera Presto, however it's old software so don't expect everything to be compatible
Justin Reyes
I use Otter Browser, QtWeb, and LeechCraft for that niche.
Joseph Perry
I dont use it because I can't get it to render moonrunes, same problem with chromium
John Nelson
How's that? Mine scrolls normal
Aiden Adams
Does it support hidpi?
Robert Wright
Yep, but it looks like hidpi has some issues after a Google Search.
Give it a try though, it was a 7MB download for me
Landon Wood
It's pretty close (FF on the left for comparison) but you can see there's a few gotchas still. Sup Forums rendered fine at least.
Daniel Wilson

Thanks for the comparison.
Midori really seems like a great lightweight browser, hopefully they get it just as functional as chrome or opera
Jaxson Myers
Guys, loving midori so far, but I'm having one issue that's a killer for me.
playtak.com isn't working, can anyone test it? I usually play on my laptop but a bigger screen is nicer to use
Eli Foster
>no link to source
Connor Ortiz
Happens quite often on 32 bit machines.
David Anderson
Try this, it's basically Chrome OS with an installer, so far it has worked great on older machines.
Brandon Scott
Best looking that's for sure.
Jordan Martin
>install it just now >NO IMAGE PREVIEW FOR UPLOADING DANK MEMES TO 4CHIN >MY FOLDER HAS OVER 3000 MEMES >HOW THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT ME TO FIND THE MEMES >NO BACK / FORWARD BUTTON OR HOTKEY FOR GOING BACK / FORWARD ON WEBSITES >INTO THE TRASH IT GOES
Zachary Butler
Ew.
Looks like I'm sticking with midori.
Jaxon Lee
Why is it so thicc?
Noah Barnes
It's not for me, but I'm sure it's slightly different on every distro.
