>4W min power

If it's 8-core 16-thread at 95W TDP with Haswell performance, that's even more power eifficient than Intel's CPU.

So a shittier Haswell, just like the RX480 was a shittier GTX 970.

AMD is literally 2-3 years behind the competition, I'm sure in something like the tech industry that means your company is fucking defunct.

that's lower performance than Intel's CPU

how ironic. try getting the 1070 or 1080 at the MSRP

how ironic. try getting the 470 or 480 at the MSRP

But AMD has nothing to beat the 1070/1080.
The RX 480 is so overpriced might as well get a 1060.

it's sandy vagina performance and clocks a lot worse than intel's architectures.

Its AMD, they're the fucking neanderthals of the tech industry at this point.

And we all know what happened to them.

YES YES FUCKING DIE ALREADY SHITTYPOO COMPANY!!!

zen sadly could well be a flop, since Intel's already planning on keeping 4c standard through 2017 and pushing out another 14nm gen ("Coffee Lake") for desktop in 2018.

Why do you hate AMD this much? They have better morals than Intel and Nvidia.

I use Intel. I am just asking you why you would support a company that openly does shady shit.

Where did they get the clock speed from?

>I cherry pick the highest overclocked CPU to win against an low clocked engineering sample

0.02$ have been deposited in your bank account.

I won't go out of my way to defend AMD as the underdog, but I really can't fathom how stupid people could be to want Nvidia and Intel to be monopolies.

The power of daddy's credit card I guess?

>he says, posting with a anime girl face

AYYMD IS FINISHED & BANKRUPT

Might not be able to hold off past black Friday and will probably build a 6700k system. With $32K of inheritance coming my way at least 2K will go to build a system.

>Summit ridge engineering sample

That's Bristol Ridge tho.

>he missed the irony

This shill bullshit was already posted today, $0.00 shekels have been deposited into your account. Also kys.

Those people really piss me off. And it is quite sad that they are so obsessed by Intel/Nvidia that they cannot see that they will get screwed over if AMD goes bankrupt.

ironic shitposting is still shitposting

Its not Bristol Ridge.
Its an unverified Summit Ridge ES in the hands of someone with no ties to AMD which is suspicious.

>6700k @ 4 GHz
>"summit ridge" engineering sample
>So the OPN is "1D2801A2M88E4_32/28_N". Using the already known schema, "D" stands for desktop, "28" for the base clock frequency (2.8GHz), the first "8" of "88" for the number of cores. And more clearly, "32/28" stand for turbo boost frequency (3.2GHz), and the base clock again (2.8GHz). This matches the information given for the 8C DT ES in an

just release something already godamnit. i've been waiting to upgrade since late 2015.

it won't even be an upgrade unless you have pre-sandy bridge hardware. and judging by these leaks the 2500k and 2600k are still better buys than summit ridge chips will be.

>Zen is shit
damn
I've been looking for something to upgrade from my i5 4590, and Skylake is pretty much fucking nothing and Kaby Lake is for Botnet 10 only.

PCs are shit

That at least answers my question about the clock speed. There's no way to verify whether the chip is running at that speed during the test though. Turbo could have been disabled as well.

that 6700k is clocked far higher than 4.0GHz. Probably around 5GHz
see which compares the best result of the 6700 which is guaranteed to not be overclocked to the k version which might be heavily overclocked

These are also low clocked engineering samples.

Intel is literally 200% higher IPC than AMD

it's worse IPC than sandy vagina by a huge amount.

>GTX 1080 vs RX-480
wew

You literally have no proof of that as there are no benches that even show IPC for the specific bench.

We only care about the CPU Framerate old man.

ECC isn't an upgrade for AMD users since like 2003.

>You literally have no proof of that as there are no benches that even show IPC for the specific bench.

kek, nice damage control AMD shillbot

Its a substantial uplift over their prior BD family cores which is all they claimed for themselves.
Its also a sketchy engineering chip, and we have no idea how its running. NB could be running at half rate for all we know.

3ghz Summit Ridge ES is matching or exceeding 4ghz Vishera.

>make allegation with no proof
>get called out
>LOL MY SANDY VAGINA IS STILL GREAT STOP MAKING FUN OF ME DAMAGE CONTROL

"4.00ghz"

Just like my 2500K @ 5.2ghz used to report 3.7.

>Its a substantial uplift over their prior BD family cores which is all they claimed for themselves.

that doesn't make it a worthwhile architecture or product

>3ghz Summit Ridge ES is matching or exceeding 4ghz Vishera.

which is only equivalent to nehalem clock for clock. AMD isn't gonna pull a ~50% performance gain out of their ass in between now and their launch in Q4. They can't even respin between now and then unless they want to delay by another 4-6 months.

Looks like Zen is already better than sandy bridge when you can't overclock past the engineering sample

retard

I also remember early Polaris leaks being 5 times slower than a 950

Again, no one said they had to match any of intel's chips in IPC. They only made claims vs their own cores.
Also again, this is a sketch ES chip, and the NB could be running at half rate for all we know.

Yeah, stop using overclockable chips at any point, faggot.
That 2600K could be running up over 5ghz easy.

Except for how it's a new chipset and has all the new chipset features like x4 M.2, USB 3.1 built in, etc.
If it can match sandy bridge clock for clock (and still clock fairly high) while having 8 cores, it'll be a good buy.

PCs aren't shit, microsoft are fucking shit.
Skylake is pretty much botnet only, too. It's annoying as fuck and due to Win10 being a heap of shit with a bunch of games, we've now reached the point of no backwards compatibility.
Want to play games that don't work on win10? No new hardware for you.

It's like a fucking console

also here's a i5-4460 @ 3.2
ashesofthesingularity.com/metaverse#/personas/2da86cbf-a28f-4c39-9a04-4ab55af33ad8/match-details/6efc19df-854d-488a-8245-ee7e2e35c9af

which Zen still shows improvement over

>Also again, this is a sketch ES chip, and the NB could be running at half rate for all we know.

there is no NB. zen is a soc.

>Again, no one said they had to match any of intel's chips in IPC. They only made claims vs their own cores.

they will need to match intel if they want to compete with them. this 8c chip will be slower than equivalent intel 4c chips even in parallelized workloads.

>zen
>2017

>Launch in Q4
Look at OPs image.

Zen has been delayed to Q1 2017, probably because of a respin.
All they need is to keep the same or a little bit better IPC and make sure this arch can clock high.

>AMD is 5 years behind Intel competing with Sandy Bridge IPC

See, these are what we're fucking looking for.

So basically zen in its current form is exceeding sandy bridge.

4c/4t zen gets btfo by 4c/4t haslel

>All they need is to keep the same or a little bit better IPC and make sure this arch can clock high.

it won't clock high at all. this is on the 14LPP process which murdered performance in order to get as much density as possible.

>this 8c chip will be slower than equivalent intel 4c chips even in parallelized workloads.

This is not a SPECint_rate benchmark. This is just some random shitty game. Good for you if you want to play it but for anything else the results of this benchmark are useless.

>there is no NB. zen is a soc.

Tech illiterate retard the north bridge is on die. It is still there. Do you even have any fucking clue what an NB does?

>low preset
>switch to high and 4c/4t is barely behind even the i5-6600 in

Nice try kid

Here we fucking go.

Matching skylake clock for clock, with double the cores.

This looks shady and fake as hell

Do the apus support it? Off the top of my head the fx chips do due to using the same controller as the opteron chips but I would be surprised if the apus do given they have no enterprise equivalent.

AMD shills are getting real desperate!

This was AMD's Pro roadmap, not their consumer one.
AMD said limited availability in 2016, and that image doesn't contradict their official statement. Their position hasn't changed. Nothing has been delayed.

14nm LPP shows an increase in fmax over 28nm HPP. As shown directly in Samsung/GloFo presentations, and in now released Polaris GPUs.

Until prices come out this is useless.

If AMD sells the 8c/16t @ i5 prices then it's very competitive at base clocks assuming these "benchmarks" of it are not overclocked.

If it's priced at i7 6700k like then we need to see how well an actual Zen 8c/16t overclocks and compares to the i7

Summit Ridge is aimed at Haswell-E and mid range Broadwell-E.
It is not competing against mainstream i5s and i7s.

>14nm LPP shows an increase in fmax over 28nm HPP. As shown directly in Samsung/GloFo presentations, and in now released Polaris GPUs.

real world results tell a different tale, every chip fabbed on 14LPP so far has underperformed relative to competition that was fabbed on intel's 14nm and tsmc's 16nm process.

Aw yee

...

AMD sponsorship games aren't relevant, post real benchmarks.

>4c/4t Zen

there is no 4c/4t Zen even announced.

It's 4c/8t and 8c/16t for desktops.

Either this is fake or the leaks we have like in OP are 100% wrong

That graph I posted *is* real world results.
The nonsense you just regurgitated has literally no meaning whatsoever.

14nm LPP has a notable increase in fmax over 28nm HPP. All GCN variants have the same 8 stage pipeline, the huge increase in average max clocks of Polaris are entirely from process alone.

That's a 2.1ghz carrizo.

He's a retard.

>Random shitty game

This is literally the Official AMD Benchmarking App ( check AMD marketing slides)

Look at the game version difference, you cant expect FPS to remain the same.

AoTS is irrelevant

>That graph I posted *is* real world results.

all you've done so far is post marketing material

>14nm LPP has a notable increase in fmax over 28nm HPP. All GCN variants have the same 8 stage pipeline, the huge increase in average max clocks of Polaris are entirely from process alone.

huge increase? polaris is max OCed out of the box and is only 100mhz greater than the maximum OC a 28nm GCN card could get. even now we're seeing AMD recede back into the 2ghz and 3ghz range on CPU tech too, while intel have been >4ghz for years now.

>no one said they had to match any of intel's chips in IPC
Then they die. That's now the market works.

>the huge increase in average max clocks of Polaris are entirely from process alone.

This piques my curiosity - imagine fury x on 14nm LPP. Getting higher clocks might still be a challenge due to the sheer density of the chip. Then again if you kept die size the same that wouldn't be an issue but I suppose that sort of defeats the point.

>aimed at Haswell-E and mid range Broadwell-E.

The Broadwell-E line is sparse and has enormous price gaps.
> i7-6800K (6 x 3.4 GHz) = $430
> i7-6850K (6 x 3.6 GHz) = $620
> i7-6900K (8 x 3.2 GHz) = $1100

An 8-core ~3 GHz Summit Ridge with IPC similar to IB/Haswell wouldn't compare directly to any of these, but it's hard for me to see them selling for anything close to even $600.

>2k
>for overkill garbage
that's like 3 months of freedom from wageslavery.
idiot.

>> i7-6800K (6 x 3.4 GHz) = $430
>> i7-6850K (6 x 3.6 GHz) = $620
the price difference here has nothing to do with clockspeed, it's about PCIe lanes.

6800k has 28, 6850k has 40.

They both are unlocked "K" CPUs and both OC to identical levels.
