I still have that rig though it got upgraded with some good used parts like a p5e mobo and an HD4890 and lost some hard drives. Sucks to go down to DDR2 but hey , can't have everything. Managed to OC up to 3.6 with a coolermaster v8. Still a very capable machine that works as a space heater at the same time.

Should have spent the extra 30 bucks on the 6600k. I have the 6500 and I regret it. Bottlenecks my 1070GTX in Stormwind City in WoW
I don't really feel a need to upgrade but I am for next is a 120hz ips panel and a new hbm card to drive it.

Just realized I've pretty much rebuilt it in these past four years. GPS is still going though, and since I don't play much recent vidya and I in-home stream at 720p or 900p I don't need to upgrade for a while.

Next upgrade will be RX 480/GTX 1060 later this year.
Though in relation to that 1600p monitor i got, my R9 270x handles it surprisingly well, been playing some GTAV native resolution with all high settings and still getting 40FPS average (i think my CPU is helping a ton)

Call me theseus because my current PC is still the same as my parents bought in the 90s. It's currently got an i3-550, a gtx950, 4 gigabytes of RAM, an asus xonar dx. I've got cheapo Logitech mouse and keyboard, and slightly less cheapo Samsung monitor after I took a screwdriver to my HP2207.
Now I'm trying to figure out whether I should look for some second hand lga1156 processor or if I need to get an entire motherboard too
