Can a DAC improve the fidelity of sound? I have SHP9500s that are being powered by some no name soundcard in my shitty 6 year old computer. The card is able to drive them but I was wondering if I could expect a difference in sound quality if I upgraded to a usb DAC of some sort.
Try it with your cell-phone and see if theres a difference, but NO a DAC won't do anything

Maybe if the DAC on your sound card is pretty crap but it will make a small difference so as to be hardly noticeable if at all.

Are the pads too thin? Is there too much clamp force? Do you have big ears and the cups are too shallow?
Can't you bend the headband or something to make it a bit more comfy, or is it due to clamping force? Also, how's noise iso and does the plastic build creak?
Honestly, I don't see the point of the MSR7 as portables tho when you can just get the M100s for like the same price. Better build quality and more comfy w/ XL pads, but I want to get the MSR7s bc I think they'd compliment my m100s nicely

I mean, I thought I would need an amp to get everything outta them since all my other cans were fairly low impedance and I just don't have enough experience with headphones in this price range. I need to crank volume at 80% on my S4 to be able to enjoy them. Pc is quite okay thou, onboard dac is pretty good I guess
