You just made a clean install of Win 7. What softwares do you install? (Please no freeturds, Linux is good on servers and routers, but sucks as a derptop OS)

ccleaner
HxD Hex Editor
Firefox
Teracopy
cmder (god-tier console replacement)
If possible I try to run software with portableapps or I don't install it but extract the installer into a directory and run the main executable (works sometimes better and sometimes worse than installing. Main advantage is that I don't clutter the windows folder)
without install: Anti-Twin, Visipics
It was audited after the devs quit. There are some minor flaws but all in all it is still good. Veracrypt is viable after its own security audit.
>Is TrueCrypt still good?
Yes.
>I heard there were security flaws
Couple of bugs, one of which present only on XP, but nothing security threatening.

How easy is it to adapt from Windows to Gentoo?
>clean install
>clean
>computer
>OS of anykind
Let's just say you installed it recently. Nice little fantasy land you're living in. I hope it works out well.
What? If you build a computer and install Windows 7 as the os, isn't that called a clean install?
is there a port or equivalent to gnu parallel available for windows?
He's just trying to be snarky. Probably lunixtard.
Microsoft Office
Notepad++
MPC-HC

Also 64-bit Firefox separately beforehand because ninite installs 32-bit version.

>want to make a backup but i have to seperately allow myself to put the backup of the settings file to the other directory
>and because the settings ui is shit in ubuntu i have to google the how to change that
>terminal command to change said rights don't go over the UI have to separately go to the settings menu to allow that
>yeah fuck this let's do something else, maybe play some gta?
>no games
>well let me just then make some photo editing
>no photoshop
i have talked to you linux autists irl and you are absolutely horrible people, contentiously wanting to disrupt other peoples work because they happened to say shit about this time sink. Most of the people who use this OS as a tool aren't autistic "hobbyist" who have incompetence in understanding to shut the fuck up about Linuxes superiority, nobody cares about your "freedumbs", and those who do care they don't continuously talk about it and how everyone else is a piece of shit
Also have fun being alone while us, the "normies", are outside with our loved ones while you jerk off on mlp
You know many women use crappier version of linux on their smartphones and post on facebook? So how can I open selected file with spacebar? Try chocolatey.
>being this mad for failing conky
I am hetero. You know you can do anything while portage compiling stuff becouse you have many cores? You don't know it because you use pentium II
>conky
Why?
>Please no freeturds
You may as well uninstall these then, or are least the free ones:
microsoft.com
Why do people still use IrfanView?
I'm sorry you can't get conky to work, friend. I've been using Ubuntu as my daily driver for about a year now and I can't be happier. Some of my positive experiences.
>try to flash custom recovery to my phone on Win7
>device will not show up in adb
>re-install adb universal driver
>still not recognized as adb device
>reboot
>still doesn't work
>google around, find hack where you need to edit android SDK files config files, manually inputting device IDs from the Device Manager to get adb to work
>android SDK installer is 130MB
>fuck this
>boot into Ubuntu
>figure out name for android sdk package on repos (it's android-sdk)
>sudo apt install android-sdk
>installed size 39MB
>plug in phone
>adb devices
>works perfectly
>flash recovery and continue with my journey to CM 13
Sorry dude, but ...
1) for really learn linux use Gentoo or Slackware
2) pacman don't erases your custom configs, but save the new on .pacnew
3) for a safe server don't user linux, but bsd. OpenBSD is most secure OS in the planet
PS: OsX and PS3/4 is based on OpenBSD
PPS: M$ and Apple sucks
PPPS: fuckoff looser :)
