PC Performance

What have you done to make your computer faster?

Added red cold cathodes and added a racing stripe to the front of my case. I used to have a tubro button but it broke limiting my pwr/wt ratio

OC'd 4790k to 4.6ghz
CL9 1866 RAM (best balance of speed and CAS latency I could find on my budget)
Blackviper win7 tweaks
SSD OS drive (although this should be the norm nowadays)

I dunno, what else can I do

Nothing :V

I set my power options to something known as "high performance mode"

Dont tell anyone my secret, though.

Deleted Windows and installed Linux :^)

added stikkers
got the fastest windows 1 drivers

...

Overclocked my 4790k to 4.7 @ 1.288 volts.

Though the only time that really makes a significant impact is in photo rendering 3d models, where I get about 5-10% faster render times.

Just disabling background garbage and setting services to manual is enough to put you in the 99th percentile for your CPU on userbenchmarks. Not even kidding. userbenchmark.com/UserRun/1116991

Play eurobeat.

I downloaded iLivid because it told me my computer had viruses!11!!11!!!!

Bought red fans.

Install gentoo.

>add ssd
>add fan to 140 degree Northridge heatsink
>overclock

installed a math co-processor

reset my modem and router, desu senpai

I threw it out a moving car.

That would actually slow it down.

NEDM

downloaded more ram

I used a registry cleaner and mycleanpc to boost performance and remove windows errors. Razer cortex can also help

Ha. Yes. No more hourglasses and constant desktop hiccups. Everything loads fast and runs well with the exception of firefox of course. Still use windows for a couple applications in a vm but windows runs better in the vm too and thinks it has everything it needs and doesn't complain about my hardware.

The machine is running at the same speed but I'm running faster.
