Windows 10 cucked me. It decided to install an update, and upon return of booting up my computer, I get the error message "MISSING OPERATING SYSTEM"
tl;dr Windows 10 just deleted every one of my personal files, which none I lost since I back up, but either way.. What the fuck
Now I want to install Windows 7, since this isn't the first time 10 cucked me out of my own install. What updates do I untick in Windows update and which ones are safe to tick from now to the future? I hear some of them install the Windows 10 style telemetry and if I'm going back to 7 I might as well free myself from that fiasco
install security updates, drivers and nothing else

Fuck off, little bitch. Just fucking install Windows 10 again. I bet you use AMD hardware, too. 1070 ftw!

download a cracked version, you dumbnuts

A faulty OS shouldn't mean personal files deleted. Sure you're experiencing BOTH?

this. sadly the faggot who made it stopped updating it

Hello fellow Sup Forumsentleman have you tried installing Windows Ten? That may help. Thank you
Isaiah Moore
Basically all of them are safe. The telemetry gets updated but it doesn't do anything unless you specifically opt-in.
Joseph Garcia
I usually install all of the updates, then create a bat file that removes the bullshit. Then it's easier to go back to Windows Update and hide telemetry and GXU updates.

Just install security updates. This is the (not 100% updated) list of updates to avoid: KB2505438 KB2670838 (Corrupts AERO theme) KB2922324 (Corrupted Update) KB2952664 (WIN10 + Telemetry) KB2977759 (WIN10) KB2990214 (WIN10) KB2999226 (WIN10) KB3015249 (Telemetry) KB3021917 (WIN10) KB3022345 (Diagnostic Track) KB3035583 (WIN10) KB3044374 (WIN10) KB3046480 KB3050265 (WIN10) KB3050267 (WIN10) KB3065987 (WIN10) KB3068708 (WIN10 + Telemetry) KB3075249 (Telemetry Extreme) KB3075851 (WIN10) KB3080149 (Telemetry) KB3102810 KB971033 (Checks if Win7 is genuine)
Install Spybot anti-beacon to remove additional telemetry.

Nice troll AMD shill, everyone knows Nvidia is the super solution for Windows 7.

>KB2670838 (Corrupts AERO theme) >KB3102810
These are alright

Avoid these. Ms stopped sending most of the crap after 29 July.
Here's is the powershell command to check against all them, but only the ones in the image are sent at this moment.
My suspicion is Microsoft is making Windows 7 updates fucked up. The fact is if you are upset about windows 10 telemetry, your view of Microsoft is compromised anyway.
