I'll keep it brief. I'm building a computer (finally). Will I need internet access to set it up initially or can I opt to activate my OS later?

you can activate later

How come garbage like this is allowed but no time for love isnt?

Thank you

Your first build I guess. Why did you purchase a third-party cooler for a locked - not overclock-able - CPU? The stock cooler that comes with the CPU is good enough.

The fan on the evo is probably quieter.

Buying a 212 evo is a noob mistake no matter what your purpose.

This is actually technology, desktop threads belong to Sup Forums

You've hearing protection for that.

Yup there's at least two better coolers for the same price
Bequiet shadow rock slim
Cryorig h5 universal

why? it's cheap, makes no sound and looks sexy

Im not saying shit is going to overheat but lower temps = longer lifespan (theoretically) and, while I'm not OP, I had a 212+ on a locked C2D because no AC+summer temps=no bueno

stock cooler is a pile of shit unless you live in canada.

How come home screen threads are allowed when desktop threads aren't? Why not have the both of them banned?

Not when you get it for under $25

>Stock cooler is good enough
Not if he wants to play a single game at high settings

Why would you buy an aftermarket cooler for a locked CPU?

Why are people so fucking stupid?

What settings? That CPU is limited to the base clock. How the fuck can it overheat?

It wouldn't overheat even if you were in a desert.

That's exactly what I meant.

He bought thermal paste too. A lot of people assume a heat sink and fan is not included for some reason.

I also purchased a Hyper 212 because people were telling me how quiet and cool it was. Installing it was a pain in the ass and the difference in noise and temperature was not noticeable. It was a total waste of time and money. The stock fan is just fine.

nice meme

More specifically you got a month to activate.

Need an upgrade from a 212 evo.
Is this good?

just get one of these

was buying an NH-D14 a good decision?
Also, my 3 weeks old Corsair 350W cheap PSU makes rattling noises, wat do? Never went over power limit

Running on 800MHz tho

software.intel.com/en-us/articles/power-management-states-p-states-c-states-and-package-c-states

That is the greatest heatsink ever made.

Won't read that, am to lazy
I know that thing can switch multipliers but why during a stress test?

PROBABLY TOO MUCH HEAT

>Worker Stopped
am fucking retarded didnt read that

looks like the max temps never got nearly high enough for it to throttle below the base clock, it's at 800mhz now because as you can tell by the load percentages in core temp the test already ended. he probably should have took the screenshot while it was still going full force but oh well.

gee someone's salty lol

hahaha you got fucked up, faggot

Gentoo does not need to be activated, wtf are you talking baout

>. Installing it was a pain in the ass
i think you are completely over-reacting.
>difference in noise and temperature was not noticeable
At idle, probably, but you should be getting 10-15C cooler in games and shit.
Maybe you're just retarded, I don't know.

>big ass sink and fan
>fatass heatpipes with direct transfer shit
>cost a 2 dollar bill and a few pennies

The 212 Evo is the best price to performance sink and fan this generation. It sets forth a new affordable big sink standard. It put Zalman and Thermalright and other "high end" shit away overnight. I'd gotten it again too if it wasnt for my ITX case' clearance.

Fuk Noctua too

>212 EVO
>not 212 X

>2-3c difference for 20 dollars more
kek
