Have you tried turning it off then on again?
Did you mount it?
Yeah. Unplugged the power, unplugged the usb.
It doesn't do anything.
How can I determine if it's fully crashed?
have you tried installing linux?
Take it out of the enclosure, the adapter piece goes bad all the time.
I want to put my weiner in her butt.

some laptops have "charge only" usb ports. Try another.
Nope. Nothing.
It's spinning. And it's hot. So it's doing something. But I'm just not getting it recognized by the laptop.
does the device manager do something?
It's only picking up the one internal HDD, not the external one.
Update:
Just got the error message:
>the last usb device you connected to this computer malfuntioned and Windows does not recognize it
do you have a desktop? you can probably test the disk putting it inside using a couple of SATA cables.
Having many external disks in the past my money is on a broken adapter. You can get a case for cheap to replace it.
>reboot
>right click This PC/My Computer>Manage
>Disk Management
>right click on the disk
?????
call yourself a fag

How much and where?
When i plug my adaper it shows ATA/ATAPI adapter in Devices and Printers. It shows the disk in Disk Managment, but when i try to initialize, it fails with 'Cyclic redundancy check'. (Cheap AliExpress adapter) Any thoughts?
disk is physically damaged
you can try a slow format and see it it becomes usable again, but it's not likely.
Can formating be done from BIOS? I took HDD from my laptop that i previously damaged OS on (instaled xp on separate partition for dual booting, then i messed something with bootloader and i get passed BIOS screen but after that only black screen shows up)
you can try hiren's boot or a linux live USB
Thnx, will report back
