Nothing from what I can tell. That was my first distro before switching to Xubuntu.
I tried 17.3.
Ran much slower than regular Ubuntu on my laptop.
Then tried mint with mate, ran much better, then tried Ubuntu mate 15.10 and holy shit what a difference. It's like going from vista to 7, but maybe not so extreme. Much smoother, can do much more thanks to it being lighter.
Plus weird bug with mint where half the time Wi-Fi wouldn't work and I'd have to reboot.

Autism distributions I have to agree with the other guy. I've tried to use them before but unless you're Richard stallman going online twice a week to respond to troll emails on your links browser you are going to want more full featured distributions based on Ubuntu/debian. I would recommend Ubuntu. My experience with it has been consistently good over many machines and years

Linux mint has been glitchy for me I really don't like the setup. Cinnamon is nice but something about the way it's set up is just fucky. I remember installing mint xfce and trying to switch DEs after installing and everything just shit itself all the config files were fucked so I installed debian

All of these "retard proof" distros are in fact retarded distros. Ubuntu, Mint and Suse are easily my worst Linux experiences, because they were buggy and everything necessary to clean it up was obfuscated up a cow's anus. Also, fuck apt with a rusty pike. Currently have Manjaro and Arch and despite their reputation I couldn't have been happier, everything is as straightforward as it gets.

the radeon driver crashes for me, on all distros i tried (crashloop when using systemd, as that instantly respawns a crashed X). only working options are fglrx or vesa/llvmpipe.

I did have a problem with a SanDisk usb flash drive when trying to run tails though but that was fixed by just using another flash drive

This sounds exactly like you installed it, then left the USB plugged in and either didn't restart the computer or restarted into the live USB. The changes you make on the USB typically don't carry over to the actual installed operating system unless you chroot.

Hardware was weak, but Ubuntu managed to run better than mint.
Currently running solus though, as smooth as Ubuntu mate, but looks much nicer(imo). Uses a little more ram, but somehow less cpu %.

I'd say I hate to play the "it works for me" card, but in reality, I hate everybody, so it works for me.
Now, the funny part, is that it also works (current) in a gen 2 Hyper-V VM. That was a little surprising.
