I use one of those USB cooling pad things. It's great.
Under clock/undervolt the fuck out of the CPU and GPU as much as you can remaining stable
Unless you need the processing power for 'work', in which case you're pretty fucked
The fan in my laptop already turns its self off at low usage, If it breaks it will probably just thermal throttle.
