Also fuck having shit separated into 2 addons (Sup Forums X + Oneechan) instead of having a whole-in-one like Applchan X.
Last time i had Oneechan, i always had to live through waiting intervals after one thing was updated, only so the other faggotry can then keep up after getting broken from the update.

On another point: Is that conversion itself the reason mascots are all fucky when it comes to resizing them?

I've noticed that the larger the height of the image, and the lower the width, the bigger the mascot (with proper resolution).
However, the wider the image, the smaller the size of the mascot on the webpage irrespective of original size/resolution, and enlarging it becomes all blurry and fucked.
Does this precisely have to do with this base 64 shit?

I don't know but if you upload a local image to Appchan it converts it to base64.
You can check this by uploading, then closing the options then going back in again and pressing Edit on the mascot. You'll notice now that the image link is a data URI.

That ain't the problem.
Even if you have an image that's 10kb, it still gets fucked depending on the aspect ratio of the image.
Why images get fucked like that is still a mystery.
