Which OS is better for a 2gb RAM, 1.76Ghz mini laptop?

Which OS is better for a 2gb RAM, 1.76Ghz mini laptop?

W7, W8 or W10?

32 bits ir 64 bits?

7

Install gentoo

Windows 8's your best Windows choice, you should really think about using a real OS like Debian or OpenBSD though.
Also
>mini laptop
They're called netbooks

linux

xubuntu

I've had that exact laptop, you aren't going to get very far with Windows.

I suffered so you don't have to. Please don't put Windows on that machine.

> op doesnt know even basic shit so you suggest a "real OS like OpenBSD"

lol fucking hell you're just as dumb as he is and lol @ suggesting Windows 8 w/2Gigs of RAM. you dont know how to into hardware

32 bit 7, but it will suck. Use a small linux distro instead.

Whatever you choose, make sure to use 64bit to fully itilize your 2gb of RAM.

>> op doesnt know even basic shit so you suggest a "real OS like OpenBSD"
Which is why I also suggested Debian. Realistically if you're capable of reading you're capable of using either OS.
>lol @ suggesting Windows 8 w/2Gigs of RAM
I ran Windows 8 on my Cr-48's Atom N455 with 2GB RAM for around a year without issue. He gave me three Windows options, 7, 8, and 10. 8 is lighter on hardware than 7 is and I'd never recommend 10 to anyone, so clearly 8 is the one I'd suggest.
>you dont know how to into hardware
I do, you clearly don't though.

What do you suggest?

xubuntu or something.

10 is the most performant of the three. I would suggest using a Linux distro, with your specs you need a lean OS

Ubuntu mate

Go with 32 bit W7, even when you have 4 GB RAM
Personally I would install Win XP on it though

> 32 bit w7

I think this is the best option. Thanks!!

Puppy Linux, Or Open BSD

Gentoo could make this machine runs like new.

With those old netbooks your only option is Linux. Try any 64bit distro and install xfce, currently posting on a Lenovo x300 1.2Ghz smoothly. But put some more ram in it, 4Gb for 15$ on ebay. Makes a world of a difference.

In a lot of netbooks you can't upgrade the RAM past 2GiB. Even if you put in 4GiB RAM, you'll still only have 2GiB.

>3 choices
>W7, W8 or W10
>these fucking retards in the thread recommends something else not in the choices
>LUL INSTUL UBUNTU
fuck you

Why aren't we allowed to suggest something better?

Most netbooks specify a maximum of 2Gb but usually can be pushed to 4Gb
Just from personal experience

You are going to need at least 16Gb of RAM.

I am too. Every netbook I've ever dealt with has had either soldered RAM or a northbridge incapable of addressing more than 2GiB.

Do you live in India?

you want a better suggestion?
go fucking kill yourself loser

Win98 will run very smoothly

gentoo
arch
antergos
xubuntu
lubuntu

pick one

No? What would make you think that?

no u
