The truth is a lot of people like having a ton of crap out of the box.
It used to be a great professional distro. Then they tried to make it be all things to all needs and it got watered down. You can still make it lean and light, but you have to know what you are doing.

Those are programs bundled with kde, they have nothing to do with opensuse.
If you don't want them, don't use kde, or remove them in literally 5 minutes.
It's a great distro, all in one distro so everything already there.

Using openPEPE on workstation since early 2014. Stable as fuck, feels good man.
There many programs in OpenSUSE. It runs GNOME3, Firefox48, Midori 0.5 Browser, Chromium Browser, F-spot (Photo organiser), Liferea (News Client), some games and many others. It only falls when you try to update it and has poor PDF reader, that can read only small files. Fedora has more programs if you want, but has more mistakes.
Look at Ubuntu MATE if you want a green system that actually werks.
Also OpenSUSE can play MP3 files by Firefox or Rhythmbox.
If you have money for Windows, then 3D games and thousands of programs are waiting for you.
