Why royal navies you make me wait
Any one ordered from pexonpcs lately? How are their wait times?
Analog optical switches? Misguided advertising. I can see musicians making a lot more use out of them than gamers.
Also, their durability has yet to be tested in practice.
>ISO enter
>big ass enter
Do we really need to have the general's name in the OP image?
I was opening my cm novatouch tkl, and I'm what CN2 is...
...
...
someone recommend me a cheap mechanical keyboard to get on black friday
cute keyboards boys
maybe for non-tactile switches then optical could make sense but with a tactile bump there is no real point to it
>shit thin pbt
>Shitty doubleshot rather than dyesub
Shoo shoo go away
cm quickfire rapid-i
good enough though.
stop having keyboard autism.
"good enough" is not good enough git gud fgt
but seriously try this if you don't want the light to bleed through
gh /index.php?topic=66567.0
Are we crowdsourcing a key, /mkg/?
Probably just a leftover to connect a numpad for non-tkl version.
>good enough though
shoo shoo go away
Another Geekhack GB ends in a scam. And some sorry saps paid $700+ for this thing
What groupbuy?
Black Bird GB buy elton5354
php?topic=83652.0
anyone know what type of keyboard this is?
looks like one of those old HP rubber domes
Are there any decent wireless mechanical keyboards?
yes but stop being gay
where do you guys buy keycaps in the UK?
cant find any on amazon
What keyboard is this?
That looks terrible and seems like it would actually make looking at the keys in the dark more difficult?
kbt pure
you can find some on aliexpress, alibaba, or pimpmykeyboard
Just bought a G710 with MX Blue switches for about $90. Seems great to me. Did I do gud or should I kill myself?
a bit to big for me.
I prefer function key mapping instead of dedicated hardware macros and slim bezel, which is why I got a ducky one with PBT caps for $110
Forgot picture
Sorry does comfy count?
I got one with Browns, I prefer browns, and I like it. The buttons kinda break easily though and the logitech software is kinda trash but otherwise its great
how about petite keyboards?
Model F 122 on the way
Buckling Pings are memes.
I guess I'll ask you
someone is selling an IBM model M SSK (Not the industrial one) for 150 bucks including shipping. He says it works but it won't come with the cable. Should I go for it or not?
Definitely, most SSK's go for a lot more than that. (I usually see in the region of 200-300) so you're getting a good deal. Cables are dirt cheap from ebay and unicomp.
anyone got any petite keyboards like this under 70 bucks?
petite keyboards seem to usually be expensive
You're a meme
He's also selling an IBM model M industrial full size one for 70 bucks, but some of the keys are broken Should I buy it just for the case and switch it with my regular model M or is 70 bucks to much?
this one is for 60 bucks, and comes with LEDs
mechanicalkeyboards.com
As nice as industrials look, I'd take a regular SSK over one. The full size models don't seem to be as rare now, and unicomp have some industrial cases available on their site. Go for the SSK
WOW when did unicomp redesign their website. Last time I went on there it looked like trash
Yeah it used to be pretty shit, I only ever use it when looking for original M parts as their keyboards are kinda meh.
Hey fa/g/gots, I'm looking for a keyboard with brown switches, blue back lights, and < $100. Suggestions?
thanks doc
so something like this
mechanicalkeyboards.com
I think this EVA keycap set fits your bill
Don't do it nigga
Why not?
Its the same guy who always rants about LEDs in every thread. Just ignore him
I'd really like a keyboard like this with the arrows and shit missing but still containing the numpad.
amazon.com
The font and white lights are ugly though
Are you two the same person? You post within minutes of each other in every thread.
Any nice looking keycap sets floating around at the moment?
needs more gay
id bang it.
you can get some cheaper ones but most are around the 60-70 mark which really isnt too bad
...
He likes shitty 30% I like shitty 40% thats what makes us different.
Its perfectly gay.
lol din't mean to reply to youIt was ment for
Easiest way is to get them imported, but MechSupply is a pretty good UK supplier for keycap buys.
>40 seconds apart
Are you in bed together?
is that industrial ssk yours? jelly
maybe
hahaha I swear im not.
what keycaps are those from?
Anyone here use SP's G20 keycaps? I'm thinking of getting a few for my Print Screen, Scroll Lock and Pause keys
can you please explain what makes this groupbuy a scam
it seems to be functioning just like every other group buy
check em out here.
I was asking more about the feel.
Feel pretty damn good to be honest. Fairly smooth from being rounded and feel pretty nice to touch. I honestly feel them up a couple times.
a shitty rubberdome
don't look for it, it's not worth it
That's too bad, this keyboard is stylish as fuck.
If he posts the product ID on the back I can tell you, though my guess is no. Probable membrane with alps sliders, or mitsumi hybrid switches
it is :)
i'm curious as well
>honest question. why dont you have the arrows keys or how do you cope with not having them?
This user on geekhack said it was "clicky", but that's all I could find
/index.php?topic=43779.0
it wont let me post the link
then its most likely a mitsumi hybrid switch, which isn't a fully mechanical keyboard, but its clicky as hell
Just put a space between geek and hack.
Anyone else hate blues after using a linear switch for a long time? I used Gat Blacks for a year and switched back to my blue board a week ago. Blues are annoying as shit now, I never noticed how it feels like a double press on the way down until now.
Having owned a board with cherries, a board with Matias clickys, and a board with Topres, I can say with confidence that Matias is the best switch. I haven't tried any authentic Alps or bucking springs yet so looking into getting some of those. I have an Alps Blue board coming in the mail. For the Buckling spring board, is my best option used Model M/F, or a knockoff?
To add on that I also got a board with Matias Quiet Click switches, and it was nice, but the board would double register certain key presses so I had to return it.
what's your budget?
Why do you need all those keyboards?
Less than a hundred as I've already spent enough as is, but I might make an exception for something like a Model F.
I only needed two, one for work and one for home, but the Cherry board was shit, and the Matias quiet click had an issue and I had to return it so I got Topres instead. At this point I'm more just wanting to collect older keyboards with nice switches.
Because more keyboards = higher WPM
What keyboard is this and where can I get it.
reconsider browns
they aim for both tactility and lightness and fail miserably, feeling like reds with sand in them
either choose reds if you play games, or try blues or any other switch
if you're not afraid of getting something thats not cherry, try ajazz ak33 or pok3r
agreed, I made the mistake to buy browns, I've tried clears after and liked them way more
I'll try zealios next
>feeling like reds with sand in them
This meme needs to stop. Cherry Browns are just as bad as every other cherry switch. If you want a low quality switch, pick any type of cherry, not just brown. If you want a good switch, pick something sane like a Topre or Alps keyboard,.
This.
nice meme
Good call. I have a switch tester with 8 colors on them and red feels exactly like brown, except it's a shorter press. I think I'll go with reds.
fuck off
