>firefox will almost be as fast as chrome
wow
wait till servo is getting pushed into firefox, it's going to destroy everything
literally the only multi core/thread rendering of single sites + scripts EVER to be created and it's WAYYYYYYY fucking faster.
tfw your mobile will see GPU rendering of web pages instead of using the cpu and saving 800% battery life
Compiling Firefox Nightly right now with Servo and Stylo. Wish me good luck, fam.
gl
servo was fucking horrible last I tried it, but what it (could"")))("" render """ it was fantastic and fast as hell
biggest issues I saw were huge javascript pages that deliver their css through javascript which is completely fucking stupid but all the big sites do it for w/e reason
Using qutebrowser
You know, a browser that cares about its userbase
Quite literally.
>haha, LITERALLY! I learned a new word 3 weeks ago so now I'm just using it everywhere XDDD
protip: learn the actual definition/use of the words you like spouting
This >user is quiet literaturally anus mad in the particular moment of the time right now
...
It's literally correct to use literally without it being literally.
Whose thi's boy?
Hope the SJWs don't ruin it.
Hope pentadactyl'll still work with electrolysis.
Who?
she's a female and a turkroach
sorry to disappoint
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
mozilla doesn't care about pentadactyl users
your addon is about to die. hope you're ready to move on
I'm not. But from what I'm reading the way they're doing isn't necessarily incompatible with pentadactyl.
>female
XUL/XPCOM like pentadactyl will never be compatible with e10s and will be killed off by mozilla pretty soon either way
They're copying chrome's extension API instead, which is crippled garbage. Hope you enjoy your “pentadactyl-lite” that you'll be forced to live with in the future
They've been talking about killing xul and unsigned addons for a while now, and I'm still able to run pentadactyl which is both unsigned and made with xul. I still have hope.
>wait till
i'll be dead then senpai
>Firefox joins the others in the present
Awesomesauce! Maybe now I can ditch Edge. Firefox was just too awful on my aging ULV laptop.
funny, because firefox still is laggy as fuck and i only use it for testing with no addons installed
Well, best of spirit to you.
I gave up on firefox myself about a month ago because I'm sick and tired of being manhandled by mozilla and their constant bullshit (feature removal, fucking over addon devs, crap like pocket/hello, etc.)
I have not been following FF development. Could anyone tell me when are they planning to fuck up the addons?
I'd probably have gave up on firefox too if an alternative was available. But there isn't a single browser that has all the features I want.
Also, pentadactyl lets you disable pocket and hello.
I think I remember a roadmap saying that it'd start early 2017, but I could be wrong.
>I'd probably have gave up on firefox too if an alternative was available. But there isn't a single browser that has all the features I want.
I just learned to give up the features that I don't _really_ need. It's still better than using firefox
Plus, with the highly active development rate of qutebrowser it should catch up to my required feature set within a year, I'm certain
(Only thing that's really missing for me, apart from the completion of qtwebengine support and some UX/aesthetic issues, is uMatrix-like content blocking support, as well as more fine-grained adblocking. With that I'd be pretty much set for life)
48 enforces signing and 50 will fuck up everything not designed for the new API.
>So, where were you when Firefox won?
Probably in high school, around 2007 I guess.
Since then, I haven't looked back.
Yeah, quteBrowser seems to be the most promising option, but I'd prefer avoid using a qtwebkit browser. I'll just wait until servo is ready. With its modular architecture, I'm sure quite a few devs will want to create their own browser using it.
>Awesomesauce
>>>/reddit/
Do you have any idea what turkish males look like?
qutebrowser also supports qtwebengine aka libchromium
(although some features are still missing, that number shrinks literally by the day)
Oh my god, that mouth
Imagine sticking your cock in there
That's sex
user used "literally" useless. As in, almost everybody on Sup Forums has add-ons, so the update is "quite literally" useless for most on Sup Forums.
>implying
would cum on her face/10
how can other browsers even COMPETE with about:config?
Pic related
Is that you?
its just placebo. firefox will never be as snappy as chrome
You guys realize you can force enable multi-process on firefox no matter if your addons support it or not right? Sup Forums isn't that retarded is is? I've been running it for weeks.
>being this stupid
if your addons don't support it then either e10s is not running or your addons aren't running
go look in about:support
Fuck off stupid nigger
>her
The samsung uses the servo engine on samsung browser. Is completely faster than Chrome or Firefox.
I don't like this new Firefox update. It's much slower than before.
Is there a way to downgrade?
You can't on 48, it's possible if you're using nightly.
Informal definition from a shit tier dictionary, gee I guess you have a point.
Just because many people are too stupid to use a language correctly, doesn't mean that incorrect use suddenly becomes correct. Inb4 language evolves, anybody who says this about kids not understanding what literally means, literally has no clue what he's talking about.
That's some top tier gear.
Theat guy must have some crazy stats.
I also think that those numbers are bullshit. I notice perf improvements, but not that much
>We can learn from the competition,” said Dotzler. “The way they implemented multi-process is RAM-intensive, it can get out of hand. We are learning from them and building an architecture that doesn’t eat all your RAM.
