I just got the KZ EDR2, which I bought for $3.74. The model without mic.
Of course they're not anywhere as good as the Rock Zircon and Piston 3, but I'd say they're considerably better value for the money, as they cost a bit more than a third of the Zircons. They do have some considerable niggerbass, a bit too much for my taste, so one should keep that in mind before buying those. With that said, it's not so much bass that it drowns out everything else, so they should be good for bassheads. Hiphop sounds great with these, and garage indie rockshit is also pretty good, but more jazzy/piano/violin performances sound pretty awkward.
They actually play louder than the Rock Zircons, which is rather impressive, but they leak considerably less sound, which is nice. I also believe they isolate better, but I've not tried that yet.
The tips are also more than adequate, and not as dogshit as I expected them to be. Some would probably buy other tips for them, but I don't feel like that's necessary.
The general quality of the hardware seems to be just alright. It doesn't seem like they'll break by looking at them wrong, but they don't seem THAT sturdy either. But then again, if you break them, you can just buy another pair for, like, no money.
All in all, it was a good purchase and I would definitely recommend them to people who enjoy bass.
I also got this from Lightinthebox for 2 cents, plus 50 cents for shipping. It's a bottle, I guess. It holds water. It virtually takes no space when empty, which I why I got it. It's nice enough, I guess.
