I never got the whole "Courage" thing. So they remove the most commonly used ports on the phone, that literally nobody asked them to remove, literally nobody requested them to do so, and their explanation is "One word: COURAGE!". It's 2x as large and 4x as large if you count the interconnect to the home button. That xray shot literally shows that it's in the way having the jack in its place unless they moved everything to the right.

As someone who bought a 6S Plus, I'm glad I didn't wait. Although the inability to charge and use headphones would be annoying, even more annoying would be keeping track of the adapters. I'm already prone to losing things, I don't need to deal with losing a $30 adapter.

Sure, I could just stick it on my earbuds and call it a day, but that's not an elegant fucking solution. When I buy Apple products, I expect elegant fucking solutions.

I think the 6S Plus is just about perfect. Only thing I think is bad is the battery life. I think my battery is going to need replaced next year. Only good thing is that battery packs are cheap as hell now.

Apple should have ditched 3.5mm for USB C and not lightning. that would make sense because most phones and laptops these days have usb C which means if someone buys costly earphones for iPhones then they can use it with their laptops or other phones.

I wouldn't mind if the lightning cable offered amazing ass quality, but it doesn't I've got $20 sennheisers and they wont see any difference, and anyone with nice enough cans and is an audiophile, defiantly will not be using a fucking iPhone for listening.
