This user is our new king. OP btfo

Both within normie ranges. Anyone under 130 isn't Sup Forums tier, 140 is when it starts getting interesting.

>normie ranges
Normies can't even find the letters on the keyboard while looking

>Both within normie ranges
you must be fucking delusional

enjoy getting your fingerprints all over the keys

I type remotely, thanks

Sorry you're shitters.

Too much effort once you get over 95ish wpm you have to actively work to get a faster wpm count

Typing ain't a race

Nigger and better than 99.5% isnt Sup Forums level theres not enough people within the .5% to fill a board at all , so shut up with the pretentiousness and be agreeable for once in your lonely life

and how old are you? I'm sure i'm better for my age and could beat u in a couple years. And that's a screen shot you couldve inspected the element

anime is pathetic

and that scene is a poor ripoff of something from aeon flux

How old are you? 13?

I don't watch anime i just saved that as a gif kek

um no

Then how old are you??

I'd rather not say.

er- I'm 18.

Okay which one is it son?

>this thread

Sup Forums is dead

Um. I don't know whatever one you want

Do yourself a favor and shut the fuck up and start lurking more before posting here.

81 WPM

according to this random quiz website, I'm "PRO"

Yessir...

Yeah well your eyes are euro signs.

I would but the W on my laptop is almost dead and I have to smash it to work

>not using a stenotype

I get 130 when speed typing, usually. 120 when I'm typing regularly.

Most people type at around 90-100wpm since they have to think about what they're writing. Isn't that the average typing speed?

wow nice. the average typing speed in my uhm... college is like 50-80 (its pathetic). I could probably type faster if i didnt have to think about what i was typing.

But user, the extra work to process the stenotype text is going to take far longer than just typing on a keyboard in the first place.

Perhaps, but
>200 wpm

No, the average typing speed is around 30 WPM. Among regular computer users it's around 60 WPM. Professional typists generally type 80+ WPM. This is copying regular text, with no special symbols in it. While 130 WPM is believable as a speed typing speed, 120 as a "regular typing speed" is not. Generally people only type ~70% of their max speed when typing regularly, significantly less than that if they have to stop and think or read what they just wrote. I doubt you are any different.

>wow nice. the average typing speed in my uhm... college is like 50-80 (its pathetic). I could probably type faster if i didnt have to think about what i was typing.
It's similar for everyone. It's not like speed typing is particularly useful outside of copying something you're reading.

It's good for epeen, though, and showing off in front of people proud of their 95wpm in threads like these.

Speed is mostly achieved with time, in my experience. I don't exactly remember how fast I used to type, but I maintained this speed since I was around 12, I think.

I meant regular copying when I said 120, AKA not straining my fingers by trying to type as fast as possible. Of course, I'm not achieving that when thinking about what I'm writing.

>average typing speed is around 30 WPM
That sounds extremely low to me...

Yeah when I was 12 i was at 118 wpm and my keyboarding teacher saw and was like hokay you winned the class

>any of the speeds in here
>impressive

Let me show you lads how it's done.

If only Steno wasn't useless for any language other than English. Learning one dictionary for one language is difficult enough, but training yourself to use 2 is... well, extreme.

Other than that, Steno is very interesting and as Americans or Brits or whatever, you guys should give it a spin.

Nice. I get problems with incorrect letters when trying to go above 130. Too much inaccuracy to really try to improve.

How do you even write words outside of the dictionary, for example fiction words? Isn't it pretty much impossible?

We didn't have any keyboarding class, just basic shit like recognising the different elements that form a computer (display, ram, cpu, hard drive, etc) since most of the people were technologically inept

I don't type with all 10 (inb4 8 hurr thumbs I'm space) I use like 3-5 or wth I do, I get like 80-90

are you autistic? You seem autistic

Why exactly? As far as I know, I'm not.

How theyre not autistic

>And that's a screen shot you couldve inspected the element
And you just literally said you could type at 118 WPM without any evidence in even the slightest.

I didn't modify the outcome. That is a legitimate score I got. In fact, here's another one.

Now suck a dick, retard.

on qwerty?

Typing quickly on qwerty isn't a problem.

>120wpm
>112 correct words
Is this normal? Am I just a dumbass for not understanding how WPM is calculated?

Only a filthy rubberdome keyboard at work :/

all words aren't equally long baka

I have only used rubber domes in my life and I get 130wpm

The keyboard isn't the problem.

fags

HOLY SHIT. YOU ARE MY NEW DOG. WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO SKIN THIS GOD IN YOUR HONOR?

I type ~130, this is almost impossible without a stenograph

Right, I suck dicks etc. Sorry.

>5th
Looks shopped desu
You'd be higher, or are stenographing and that's breaking the rules

The fastest guy I know types at 150

With my backwards as fuck typing shenanigans, I get a 93. However the way I type heavily drags me down. I use the right middle finger way too much (we're talking 90% of the right hand keys here) while the left hand has no organisation whatsoever.

Actually touch typing (which has been done through this entire post) is extremely comfortable, but the speed is drastically reduced to like twenty or something. Practice makes perfect I guess.

how is life as a data entry specialist, user? how is your 20 year old Honda holding up?

People don't touch type?
Been working fine for me

If you're still looking at your keyboard you gotta cut that shit out user.

can someone figure out whats actually being typed there?

>she doesn't let Siri type everything she dictates
