Crosair CX550

Seasonic s12ll or m12ll. I believe both can be had for under 70 dollars in that wattage range.

Sorry, I mean m12 evo. I think that's the name.

seasonic m12ii is bronze 620w and modular

Buy it from México for just $21.27 dollarydoos. I'm not even memeing, mine has lasted three years.

>using a 600W in the year 2016

I got a sentey 750 semi modular for $56 off amazon. 5 year warranty. I got it as a replacement for a dying Ultra 1000 watt meme psu i bought in 2008~

I'm still using a 520W.
I'm too cheap to get a new one, but I'll probably grab an 800W modular soonish.
But why?

You don't need more than 400-500W for a single GPU setup.

exactly $70, nothing better can be had for less right now. 550w is more than enough for any single gpu build.

is better, and can be had for less.

no, it isn't. it's good, but it uses an outdated group regulated design where the +12v and +5v rails are regulated together. whenever the load on one rail is out of proportion with the other, they can go out of spec. you only find that kind of circuit design in cheap units nowadays.

this xfx unit uses a more recent and advanced seasonic platform that avoids that issue by independently regulating voltage with dc-dc converters, and uses an llc resonant converter on the primary side to improve efficiency.

>implying 3 years is good

My S12II 620W is finishing its 6th year and I will probably use it in my next build 2 years from now.

How much do you need for two 1080s?
