You sound like a cunt.
You, too, sound like a cunt.

Fuck this thread.

chinkshit

Update on yesterdays Tissot PRC 200. It's water damaged. Owner claims it never was near water, but there's corrosion on the inside of the case, the plastic spacer and the movement. Looks like it leaked in from the buttons.

I wonder who's lying, the guy, the previous place to change the battery or Tissot with their 200m WR, but no screw-down buttons.

Red watch from the People's Republic

How much are those and are they better than BWAF's own line of watches?

I'm betting on all 3.

Layweranon, don't you happen to have two Celdaon's or am i mistaken?

And i was ashamed with my Royal...

Imma tryin to get some intel on this watch. What is this thing?

considering its chinese, that is actually kind of neat

what is that?

Why would you even be interested in a watch that ugly

>are they better than BWAF's?

I belive so. The movements are better adjusted and quite better refinishing as well. Mine was of the special edition, limited to only seven in the world, so I honestly don't know the price of the normal ones.

I wish my friend, but only one for now. I do plan to buy one onf the only seven in white dial, if it becomes in the market.

Why would you??

Maison Celadon Imperial Red

> 2.5 Hz
> 1 Hz
> 3 Hz
> 4 Hz
> 4 Hz dampened
> 360 Hz

I am interested, that's all. I wonder how it looks up close. Why are you being so closed minded? To appreciate watches you got to look at ugly ones too, so your perspective is wide and balanced.

New image because former one was bad.

Nice...
Yours??
I should take a video of my own collection arranged by frecuencies; good idea.

Hows the thickness on that? From your pic it looks kinda thick.

How do you deal with nato straps when the buckle to put the strap in is too close to the clasp and you can't move it because it sewn?
ie, pic related, it leaves a large portion of the strap dangling out (in blue)

Thanks, yes

Sadly not pictured: a Heuer mikrograph stopwatch (not watch) from the 70s at 50Hz (360000vph).

The Seiko sweep quartz has to go in for service somewhere... it's started running at exactly double speed (???). Trying to decide whether to send it to Japan or just give it to my guy at Kenjo.

wrong pic sorry, that was for a friend.
this is the pic related

It's quite thick indeed, but I like it. It's kind of a vintage look.
I can't measure the thickness now, but you can have an idea from the image. Bear in mind that my wrist is thin though.

What's the story with that movement? Looks like something an underground watchmaker would make in the Metro 2033 universe. How many bullets does it cost?

A simple Swiss 17jewel handwound movement.

Oddly it seems the balance jewel is not shock-protected.

I guess it's a more fancy-pants movement then, like a later 19-jewel would be.

I really fell in love with the Accutron 1 and 2. Should i get a vintage one or shell out for the new one. Alternatively what watch would you recommend instead?

this post is snob-free

Your watch is bad and I know more about watches than you do.

Just get a vintage one

...

well i have to oder it from the states. Here they are expensive as hell. And especially on eBay they seem shady.

Reposten from last thread

Gp thats actually kinda small

Check out my new Hublot plebs!!

Need to wear a watch in an environment where it will be disinfected 2-3 times a day. May get puke/shit/pus or whatever on it every now and then.
Won't be wearing it on leather or SS bracelet (bacteria may get trapped between links).

With that in mind, best beater watch for under $200? Having a sapphire crystal would be a plus and not having bevels in the bezel would also be a plus.

...

Just get garbage you can dispose in the bin if necessary. Buy a Casio F91w

...

...

Feels good man

$6000 Chinkmade watch...

Not all chinese watches are made the same. Some can become good timepieces on its own merit, like my Imperial Red. See pic related

>not pictured: a Heuer mikrograph stopwatch
You need to correct that, I'd like to see it

>The Seiko sweep quartz has to go in for service somewhere... it's started running at exactly double speed (???)
wow. If it remains that way you could end up with a very unique 6 hours watch, as opposed to a 24 hours.

Vintage. When it com to Spaceview and Accutron's alike always go vintage.

No, your mom.

Quite interesting. I like it. Yours? What's the story?

If you're ever interested in paying a bit more money for a watch that fits your criteria, look into the St. Gallen Disinfectable Watch. Link:

As long as you like it...

It was a father's day gift, so unfortunately no longer in my possession. I'll get some better shots when I visit for Thanksgiving. This is the best there is for now.

I took the Seiko around 5th and Madison today and nobody would agree to service it so off to Japan it goes (one helpful saleswoman said "take it down to the diamond district, lots of reputable watchmakers there! They even fix the pateks!" but I decided to take a pass...).

Also not pictured: Swatch skin, runs at 0.05Hz (two-hander, motor advances once every twenty seconds).

> Two independent pulsometer tracks with different scales and four second hands
Very neat!

Forgot the attachment...

Big bro and little bro.

Thoughts?

I'm retarded.

Which is the Sinn 358 that has DIAPAL but does NOT have GMT?

Does it exist?

I see this 358, but it does not have DIAPAL

Should try to get a better picture of the dial on mine sometime.

Love the DSSD, unfortunately a little too big fro comfort, for me at least

...

Cheapo Fliego
Not so junko

it indeed is mine, its too small though. ended up being 27mm instead of 30.
its a quartz movement with classical (mechanical) complications added. there's more of them with zodiac signs and perpetual calendars and such. definitely want to get a mens one. according to antiquorum this one has an equation of time complication. i could be the black dots but i have really no idea desu.
the finishing is also damn fine.

How... how do you tell time with it?

is 40mm enough for a man's watch?

That's the back of the watch, retard. 2/10 for making me reply.

guys my 18mm nato strap got here, only a few days after my f91 did

is it really even worth it to swap the plastic resin strap for it? it is already pretty low profile to begin with, and I don't know if I'd be wasting a good strap on a cheap watch.

Yes

36mm to 42mm is what is reasonable

anything below is mini-man tier, beyond is gaudy/tacky basketball american tier

I wanna get a Zun Jue 28,800 bph watch. Pretty cheap and thin for chinese watch that doesn't use a eta clone.

The other BWAFs are beautiful too.

You're a fucking fashion accessory
For a fat dog

Vintage ones cost more.
Get both. I plan to get a railway approved one to go with my accutronII

I want one of these as well, especially knowing it's no a 2824 clone

>No snobby bullshit
what's even the point

seinheart=/=snobby
Don't fool yourself user

Anyone?

I could have sworn this was a thing

>double red sea steinhart
just out of curiosity, what movement does this feature?

a shitty one

ETA 2824-2 Elaboré

>ETA 2824-2 Elaboré
precisely my point

so what do you think about the grand seiko quartz movements? are they for real or just memes?

i've heard they only use metal parts and they have created special proprietary ointments for the watch to go without a service for 50 years.
also the watch is specified to run +/- 5 seconds a year precise.
They also grow their quartzes and only the best are hand picked for GS movements

The watch show was great. This thing is gorgeous

How's this for a cheap watch?

...

You don't have a point.

>i've heard they only use metal parts and they have created special proprietary ointments for the watch to go without a service for 50 years

>They also grow their quartzes and only the best are hand picked for GS movements

I plan to get a accutron spaceview or whatever to go with my railroad

All these posts and still no justification for not ponying up for a holy grail speedy.

(Moonwatch case with a Lemania 5100 for those who don't know).

Sounds neat. How long can a ETA cosc quartz last in comparison?

Here is mine for a year now.
(it's my everyday watch)

Pro :
- Unbreakable.
- +3min max per week. (I adjust -3min so it's ok for 2~3 weeks)
- I wear it when I swim, even in the Sea : It's still water-prof.

Cons :
- The glass is a scratch-magnet.
- The strap smells like a wet Dog after a week (you need to wash it time to time).
- The little phosphorescent insert on the custom bezel has gone the 2nd month.

Very cool

Is easy when you can get both for under $500 makes them a nice collectable pair

Just replace it with generic lume if you actually use it, mix the lume powder with elmers glue to make a bauble of lume.
If it falls out after a few months replace it :)
Not worth doing if you don't use it though

well cosc quartz movements are very uncommon, i think some breitlings use them (super quartz) but i'm not that certain. a well produced quartz movement can last very long, but i'm also not certain about servicing and loss of accuracy as i never owned a high end quartz.
you could look into some old rolex oysterquratzes

sup /wt/ I tried last night but maybe I'll have better luck

can someone assist with identifying this watch?

did you try clipping the image and then doing a google search of the image?
no, no you didn't.

oh yeah, and install gentoo

I do own a Lemania 5100 Speedmaster, but not in that particular case. Mine is reference 176.0012 aka as Speedmaster Mark 4.5

However, probably the main reason as to why I haven't bought one is otherwise simple: I haven't came across any yet. I prefer to buy my watches from collectors and watch dealers, not the internet and I have never seen one for sale irl.

Also, if I were to buy one of Maddox's nickname Omegas, I would buy the Darth Vader first.

Neat looking quartz

Another neat looking quartz. It's not an equation du temps, but rather a watch that -as you can see- provides information regarding the seasons and the age of the moon (I think).

Can you get another take of it. Can't distinguish shit in that one.

My Fossil, got it back on Boxing day 2015, the fossil store was doing walk in stratch coupons with up too 70% off for the day. Got it 50% Off.

I tried
