Why aren't you using Windows Server Core as OS, Sup Forums?
>server tier performance >supports up to 4 TB of internal memory >up to 64 10-core processors = 640 cores >ZERO bloatware >more secure than ANY version of Windows or Linux >boots way faster than ANY version of Windows or Linux
Noah Torres
>>more secure than ANY version of Windows or Linux >>boots way faster than ANY version of Windows or Linux Literally paradoxes
Austin Morales
>still using an MS-DOS command line in a 2016 server OS
This is why Unix and Linux admins laugh at you.
Jayden Wood
unix and linux admins are gay virgins
Sebastian Kelly
>shitty filesystem
There are lots of reasons, but that's the biggest.
Gavin Diaz
best interaction of the month so far SAVED!
Laughed out loud on this one
Michael Collins
Windows is only still prominent because of legacy support, the vast majority of which is for desktop and workstation software.
On servers and mainframes, Windows is just more expensive for less utility. People who need to use it primarily from the command line should be given free psychiatric counseling.
Nicholas Gutierrez
Because no "apps".
I rather use dos in text mode only than this bullshit.
Brandon Russell
This, windows server core is a versiok of windows.
Jace Adams
>Literally paradoxes
please elaborate

What's with all the "why aren't you using [obscure windows build] as your main OS Sup Forums" threads lately?
Grayson Gomez
doesn't answer any question(s) posed
Jacob Anderson
How can something be faster than an entire group when it's part of that group?
Oliver Price
I think you're taking his statement too literally.
Ethan Fisher
You're literally a fucking retard.
>ZERO bloatware >installs bloatware >doesn't even use PowerShell
Good grief.
Enjoy fucking with your registry faggot.
Josiah Hughes
I take all statements as being literal unless there's some sort of hint or outright declaration of sarcasm. Not sure why you'd behave otherwise.
Jaxon Richardson
you are literally retarded. Haven't set up core in a while but if you console into a core server it starts with just a powershell window, you can cmd.exe if you want to. can you name the bloatware?
Joseph Jackson
>console into a core server
>bloatware The operating system dumb dumb
Bragging that your OS doesn't install IE by default is like getting a medal for only eating 3 bags of Cheetos instead of 4. The tools you're using are utilities mirroring full fledged desktop applications, not the other way around like better OS's.
Any basic admin task is a fucking walk around the world with Windows whereas Linux it's as long as it takes for Google to load with a StackExchange answer to your question.
Also fuck you because I'm not learning PowerShell. I don't care about OO shit in a CLI language. The syntax is so retarded. If it's so great why is Windows installing bash now? Your own company is betraying you.
Joseph Peterson
[autism intensifies]
>Also fuck you because I'm not learning PowerShell
>Windows sucks because I don't want to learn x syntax
Jordan Lewis
>>Windows sucks because I don't want to learn x syntax
I 1000% guarantee I know PS better than you and you're still going to talk shit. Why do I need goofy fucking addons and shit to do SPO and Azure tasks? Why? That is B L O A T W A R E
Christopher Davis
Actual autism here folks
Jordan Reed
Sounds like you're just a mad Linux baby
Lincoln Taylor
Server Core is technically more secure than its Gui counter parts. There's less software to exploit with no Gui.
Jayden Carter
But is it more secure than itself? How educated is Sup Forums exactly? Low enough education that you don't understand basic logic?
Ryder Murphy
Are you stupid? Core is the smallest version of the operating system. How are you not aware of smaller code bases being less vulnerable? Complexity always adds bugs and insecurities. The Gui is a major reason why Windows always gets fucking riggity wrecked all the time.
Jason Ward
>Windows server >Useful for anything at all Nice try, Pajeet.
Owen Kelly
Oh my fucking god you are retarded. Did you read OP's claim at all?
Connor Davis
>debating semantics like a fucking 4 year old Good thing you're using a name, son.
Austin Nguyen
>more secure than any version Eat a dick faggot that's the whole purpose of this argument. Continue this pointless debate all you want but it's a fact server core is more secure than its gui version.
>B-b-ut it's the same os
Matthew Lewis
big boys big board
let them play
Austin Morgan
>Core is the smallest version of the operating system Not anymore. Nano is the new hotness...
Jace Adams
>GUI major part of Windows infection lmao dis guy
Isaac Morales
literally the same logic applies from my image in Just change both instances of the word faster to "more secure"
>eat a dick faggot that's the whole purpose of this argument Which argument? The one that was started with me when I claimed OP made a paradoxical claim? That's the argument I'm arguing. I don't give a flying fuck about Windows
Josiah Perez
no one gives a fuck, pajeet
Chase Morris
KEK
Joshua Sanders
>implying I'm wrong
Hudson Rodriguez
another time you?
Jaxon Young
The UI alone allows for some viruses to get on a system, but a considerable number of them are Windows core problems. As soon as a file is on that system, regardless of the way it got there, it can fuck WIndows so hard. The UI is just one of the methods it can get there.
Lincoln Nelson
I don't have a server I don't have 4TB of internal memory. I don't have 640 cores. I don't have any bloatware. It is secure for servers which I don't have. >boots >implying my PC isn't on 24/7
