A DVD ROM drive is pretty useful.
Cable tucking, a bunch of SSD's or an HDD, maybe a card reader or fan controller
real pros have a PC-E-Z Bake
Cup holder
I actually kind of want this, assuming it'd be waterproof. Maybe make it heated to keep coffee warm.
...
I want it
Crowdfund it immediately
A ton of HDDs
good old tapes.
connect it to the heatsink.
im actually going to buy a 5.25" to 3.5" drive bay adapter so my empty bay under my DVD drive can be populated with another hard drive, when i run out of room on the main drive i have on my PC. not a bad option instead of MacGuyvering something to mount another drive into.
...
NZXT NU01, its kinda fantastic.
Extra air intake, throw in a 120mm fan and use some zipties to hold it.
a decade ago ThinkGeek did sell an actual, pop-out 5.25 bay cup holder.
bd is cheap now
I've got an old case where the entire front consists of 5.25 bays, so I mounted all my 3.5 HDDs in these rubber band mounts. Before that my PC sounded like a sewing machine, it's much better now.
aren't pretty much all bds encrypted with shit that makes it hard to do anything with them in a computer?
I think most are yes but maybe I just was unlucky I can't tell really I haven't used too many
but user
like that 'encryption' matters any more than ... breaking open and unproteced wlan
>putting a hand grenade in your computer
Ez
that case is so shit
I usually install machine guns in the 5.25" ports
...
hey I have one of those drawers
but I printed it myself
>not installing machine + GNU's
The only way that would be awesome is if you used brown coolant and used the can as your reservoir
Otherwise that looks trashy
cpu and gpu fan make more noise then hdd
if u have to worry about anything its that
>muh multi-media
HDD noise and vibration is far more annoying than the monotonous sound of a good CPU cooler
Ye
user, listen to me very carefuly - this space is for 'I fucked up' device AKA self destruct mechanism. Next to a storage for a gun in case they would like to take You alive.
Fuck. How good does it work?
may as well just have type c instead
You can hide your weed in there.
This, I have a brick of thermite in there in case you-know-who comes bursting through my door
So true. I don't think anyone would think about looking in there.
Buy a case without one.
sure but u need a really good cooler for that
most coolers are 30db loud, which is around the same hdd noise
Would need an adapter, but still.
There are chink alternatives that use USB drives, but those have poor documentation and the hardware support is hit and miss.
SD/other card reader. Mine is USB 1.0 (seriously) so it's pretty darn useless but I guess a nee one would be a nice thing to fill that space. I just keep mine in case I need to read some obscure ancient card (it takes a tonof different ones)
hotswap bays
optical drives
tape drives
card readers
what is it? internal usb ? for what purpose
Tape drives? Would You recommend anything for newb with 2TB discs to backup?
You know, I wasn't going to buy this case because it doesn't have any 5.25 bays.
Now after reading this thread why do i even have to have my blue ray player?
That's cool man, I really should look at gettting a 3d printer.
I bought one just so i could make custom dildos.
is it just me or does something about this pic make the scale look off? (like I thought that SD card was maybe three or four times as big as its supposed to be)
Pretty well hidden cum rag storage.
...
My Optiplex has two DVD drives (A burner and a reader) I only need the burner because it can do both.
What should I get?
Can you get the surface smooth enough to be usable?
Aren't they a little... inflexible? Or are there actually pliable printing materials now?
A life.
Not funny
True, it is sad. I feel sorry for you.
That onahole adapter.
I have a pretty good, and interesting life, say and think what you want. Your just a neet.
Sure, m8. :^)
Ok
internal usb hub. gives you more usb headers for case connections.
Stick a flesh light in there maybe?
>putting weed in a space heater
>not storing weed in glass jars away from heat and sunlight
you are a dummy
Got one of these not disappointed. Will probably remove DVD drive to put one of those drawers in though.
came here to post this
LTO 6 and 7 would do the job but the drives are not only SAS but expensive as fuck
A HDD rack. I got one and I removed all the case HDD bays to improve airflow. The Fractal Core 2500 for some reason has HDD bays on top and bottom but both block front-face airflow for some dumb reason. Pic related, you can see the fan locations in the front.
...
I have a Blu-Ray burner because I am backwards like that and still like optical media. My other two slots hold my water cooling reservoir.
Drivers
What's that for?
Your case is superior i'm guessing. You probably own a laptop don't you queer.
it's a hotswap bay for 2.5" and 5.25" drives
Connect it to a 970
ah ok
>bay res
*barf*
first place to look for drugs and weapons
is there any 5.25" bay that has fan controllers + usb/card reader hub?
i only got 2 bays total but i need one for BR/dvd drive so I got one left and i woudl like a card reader/fancontroller/usb hub
5.25'' floppy drives, obviously. That's what the bays were made for in the first place IIRC.
I mean i love the idea of it, but i couldn't stand having all those USB wires and attachments front facing.
I used one for a fan controller. Looks sick. Really ties together the look.
This is definitely something totally useless that I would totally get just to say I got one and the reactions I'd get would be worth it.
Nigga from what I can see behind this case, you live in a woodland environment. So why didn't you get the military green to improve your PC's camouflage? Your decision to go with black was not tactically sound.
some pc cases react to the hdd vibrations and get louder in turn, it can be really bad if there are loose rivets on the hdd cage or something
My brother is in the military and he hates seeing camouflage when he's off duty.
Try living in Wisconsin, you probably see more camo than being on duty. Inbred hicks have a fetish for it or something
I'd also like to add that I've been in multiple arguments with people who claim that camouflage is a color.
eh, not to argue the point that it is, but people grow attached to standardization. Something to tick the color box with. Like a car with a paint that changes as you move around it, heard tale of those just being slapped down as "rainbow" when they go in for inspection.
At best camo is a composite of colors, but not a color itself.
A generic sdcard/compact/more USB hub.
Put ur psu in there
appropriately rated post
>$15 external DVD drive
>Used it a few times to rip CDs, maybe install a driver.
>pocket change for convenience
What's the issue?
>USB 3.0
literally who? such a standard doesn't exist
I can smell the Cheetos and unshowered fedora wearing gaymen leaking through the image.
Elastic suspension of hard drives.
4 bays here, all in use:
1. Multi-io rack w/card reader set, USB ports, sata + IDE external drive ports (runs internally over USB) and sata + molex power passthrough with power switch
2. Blu-Ray burner
3. HD-DVD reader
4. 5 1/4" floppy drive
Why? Media archival and data recovery.
The 3.5" bay is an LS-120 running through a SATA converter.
redundant as fuck
heh
