Are you aware of that feeling you get of not wanting to play a console that's 1 or 2 generations old after you've had a taste of what the newest generation is like?
Due to the graphics just looking too old, blocky, or grainy. This is the same feeling you get when you go from 1440p or 1080p to 4k. You will never want to go back to those lower resolutions again.
Everything was fine before. You were happily playing away on your PS2 or PS3. But now that you've had a taste of PS4 or 3 you just can't go near the older console.
So this is my warning to you Sup Forums. Do NOT, I repeat do NOT try out a 4k monitor even for short while.

bro you're retarded If you have a 1440P monitor, 1080p content looks like garbage on it. If you have a 1080P monitor, 1080P still looks great. Seeing 4K content on a 4K monitor does nothing to ruin 1080p content on a 1080p screen for me. I'm only bothered when the native resolution of the TV is obviously way higher than the content playing. I have 1 1440p monitor for games, 1 1080p screen for movies/tv, and 1 4:3 ye olde screen for 4:3 videos/movies/emulated games. Happy as an autistic little clam ^.^

With all the real issues of 4k this isn´t one. I´ll happily plug my snes into a uhd tv and still enjoy the classics. Ps2 game might not look amazing anymore by todays standards but that has nothing to do with resolution per se.
If you want a 4k monitor or TV get one and unless you´re autistic you´ll enjoy the old content as much as the new one.
