Gentoo: Install it!

Foobar2000

are these recommendations out of date? or what? i just got itunes because it was in my ninite or whatever its called

how do you know i dont already have it installed ?

If I can figure out how to hack it to look exactly like my foobar, MPD+NCMPCPP
if not Foobar.

Adobe Audio Experience

this

ok now post a picture of yourself, i want to see how your neckbeard matches your anime screencap

me

fag

DISREGARD THAT I SUCK COCKS

...

That art style is terrible and needs to die

can you go one day without posting your desktop?

moc

I use MediaMonkey. The older 2.0 versions have a nice design, there are Gold keys everywhere, and they still work fine on new versions on Windows.

it's a good desktop.

get inspired

yes

the one you're using
smells of something proprietary

I'd recommend music bee

Clementine

Why are music players still using column views? It's not 2004 anymore

AIMP

There is no single "best" player.

iTunes and MusicBee would suit (and be the best) for the average person
Clementine might be good for them, too.
Foobar would be 'ugly' for the majority of people out of the stock, and they probably wouldn't want to bother setting it up and to download themes for it (people today are kinda entitled)
mpd+ncmpcpp if you're a linux guy

just found out FL Studio 12 now has an anime character that serves no purpose but can do different dances to your music

Thats feature has been around for a while...

this

sshfs + mpv.

It has the best lyrics plugin (reloaded)

shit i might just use FL Studio 12 as my music player it sounds infinitely better, clearer and deeper

cmus + cava for visuals

MusicBee as it is Foobar without the shitty parts of it.

I prefer it, you can change it if you wish.

mpv master race

if anything musicbee is just a worse itunes

>lyrics

>comparing musicbee to itunes
Lad...

but it's literally the same. also itunes is cross-platform at least

Honestly, you're not even trying

This is so sexy. Can I get your exact configurations?

>worse

In what fucking way?

What good music players for Linux exist? I want something graphically similar to Musicbee that doesn't sacrifice functionality and stability, but it seems most players are still using that awful column format.

I like album cover views, yet it seems nothing like that exists on Linux.

to start, iTunes is faster. Why is musicbee better?

I wish I could get Foobar looking decent. Any thoughts on nice themes for it?

Or is MusicBee just better?

>number of years since jesus
>not using Lollypop Music Player

desu I'm disappointed senpai baka

this -> museeks.io/

looks nice, but it's Electron unfortunately. So it's a no from me.

I would say just go with music bee, I like it's look and there are lots of themes to suit your tastes.

From my experience, it's just as functional as foobar2k, looks better, but may be slightly slower to start up

I used to use Winamp 5.33 for muh old skins, but I recently switched to Foobar2000 when a dd mishap zeroed my SSD and I had to reinstall my dual boot. So far I prefer it now, simply because it has more addons that are up to date and are free. Winamp for example, if you want directory view you have to install Dynamic Library AFAIK and that costs money unless you just pirate it of course. Foobar also has AdLib music plugins and a BASSMIDI plugin as well in case you don't actually want to install BASSMIDI, and I have a big library of tracker music. I also like the very minimal yet highly customizable UI. Nothing fancy if you don't want it, like me, but able to rice it pretty well if you feel the need.

amarok or banshee for gimp-tards-kit.

....What?
The fuck is supposed to be the alternative? And why is it better?
Column views is good.

Keep It Simple Stupid

Gnome-Music is tops

But not that stupid

the foob, of course.

I kinda dislike it.
Using Audacious with its Winamp theme on my linux box at work.

cute, it's like its the 90s.

lol epic meme xD he said it again

I would if I could.

Yep.
Small, lightweight, efficient.

Is winamp still around?

Radio K.A.O.S, my person of African ancestry

sounds ideal for work

>smells of something proprietary
Just like your pic related, right ?

That looks nice, but I can make my foobar look the same in under 5 minutes.

no

The latest release is nearly 3 years old.

I really want a new media player but iTunes is the only thing I've found that's aesthetically pleasing while being useful and not having any metadata issues.

use mpd+ncmpcpp, it runs on mac, windows and gnu+linux

Graphical? DeaDBeeF
CLI based? Cmus
iTunes like network based with GUI? Google Play Music Deaktop

Gnome-apps are so disgusting.

They look bad
They have very little functionality
They will never be feature complete
Literally anything else is better

> Graphical? DeaDBeeF
Nah. Audacious

just embrace the windows forms look. it feels great when you just let go and settle for a purely functional music player

...

$uicideboy$ are dope

Went back to Winamp.

It just werks

I want to sink my face in that arse, even if it's clearly a humanized MLP character.

Source to the artist?

everytime

>
>90S
>1975
>A capella
>A Cappella

My god, fix those genres.

it's too late now

...

ayy $uicideboy$

why do you have all the full albums instead of the full tracklist lmao

forgot to include pic

can you share you configuration?

>itunes is faster
maybe on a mac. iTunes runes like got garbage for me last time I used it.

Does it still take an hour to open on Windows?

Musicbee emulates every option of itunes that isn't related to apple, and builds on it in ways that are better. Syncing to any device is easy, you can set where you want to get lyrics, the UI is much more easily tweaked. (IE no out of place apple UI on Windows.)

Everything iTunes does, musicbee can do better.

Adobe Audio Experience

who else /comfy/ ?

It seems like a lot of these linux players are no longer in development.

Is rhythmbox dead, or is it just being actively devloped in secret?

If you don't use cmus you are literally sacrificing performance for nothing. It imports my 1.2TB music library in a couple of seconds.

does it support cuesheets?

but what if I don't want a client based music player?

Also why not use mpd + (npcpcpddpdcvidpcpdpdc)?

And you will literally never listen to all 1.2 terabytes of music that you have.

cmus is shit
mpd + ncmpcpp is better

specify how cmus is shit

It closes when you close the window

um is that supposed to be a bad thing? Jesus guys

When it's unecessary, it's a bad thing.

foobar2000 if you have a brain, MusicBee if you don't.

Foobar for Windows. Clementine for Linux. PowerAmp for android

Anything else and you're just a fuck who likes to watch his wife get fucked by niggers.
